  1. Dear Pompous A$$e$: I'm sorry that I tried to participate in your little group. I love old movies, was looking for like minded people, apparently I am barking up the wrong tree. Apologies for interrupting yer group. Yours Truly, Beverly Buzzby R.I.P.
  2. The people that produce that disgrace should be taken to a town square, somewhere, and lashed with a wet noodle.
  3. Ahhh, that went *whoosh!!!* right over my head hahaha
  4. This isn't the Geraldo Rivera show! Edited by: BeverlyBuzzby on Feb 28, 2014 12:13 AM
  5. Andy I had heard that too. I didn't know what they were talking about until I learned that Windows 8 is meant more for touch screen users. I have no interest in touch screens, but I learned to use the Windows 8 and like it. My mother uses 7 and loves it. I never cared for the XP much, it seemed clunky. Glad to be rid of it, really.
  6. I had an old computer that ran XP until last July. Then I bought a new computer (one without a CPU, I like it!), and it came with Windows 8, which I like. I am hesitant to "upgrade" to 8.1, I like what I have and am satisfied with it and wish they would just knock it off with the updates and whatnot constantly, lol.
  7. I too loved the Joan Crawford month. I had seen most of the movies before, but there were three or four that I hadn't seen, such as "A Woman's Face", which I loved. They also had "The Damned Don't Cry" which I hadn't seen since the 1990's and oh what a hoot! Old Joan could do anything. I also think Andy's idea of character actors/actresses as SUTS is a great idea. Welcome to Arcadia22, I too am a newcomer and have been having a great time reading and participating here.
  8. LOL I can't stop giggling about this. The other thing that strikes me funny in that movie is how ol' Fred McMurray is such a smoothie, calling her "baby"....I grew up watching Fred as the dry patriarch on My Three Sons, so it just cracks me up. I'm going to have to fire this one up on Netflix tonight!
  9. Yuck! A worse list I cannot fathom. THE HOURS is right up there with BLOW UP or I LOVE YOU ALICE B TOKLAS as one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Nicole Kidman with a unibrow smoking home rolled cigs and mumbling, and Meryl Streep running around as the cosmopolitan dyke (delivering flower arrangements to an AIDS stricken artist, really!), and Julianne Moore as the boring stereotype that the feminazis were yapping about when I was growing up.....Ugh. Gangs of New York was an overblown farce. Cameron Diaz, say no more. The rest of them I have probably seen, I can't keep ranting. The 2000's sucked. Politically, theatrically, and it just sucked. 10. Nicely done. LOL This is about the tenth time you've cracked me up now, Misswonderly.
  11. TCM looks the same to me, but TBS is as you describe. I am a Cable One basic cable subscriber.
