BackTTPast - "I don't know how many bad movies..."
But if you had read the review of "Taxi Driver" before seeing the film you might not have seen it. (You might have liked some of those bad movies.)
I have seen more than a few bad movies even after reading Maltins review mainly because it had a actor/actress in it that I liked. Much more often than not it wasn't a good film(IMO) so I try to avoid anything under 2 1/2 stars unless I hear good things about it somewhere else or if it involves one of my favorite actors/actresses.

I don't know how many bad movies the Leonard Maltin Movie Guide saved me from watching. Most of the time I agree with his reviews/ratings. I think the biggest one he got wrong was when he gave Taxi Driver 2 stars.

I was looking at the TCM schedule for tomorrow and was surprised to find out that Harold Lloyd's first 'talkie' "Welcome Danger" isn't available on DVD in the U.S. I know there are quite a few movies that air on TCM that have never come out on DVD so I thought it would be interesting to start a thread listing upcoming movies airing on TCM that haven't been released on DVD.

Since 2001, I've recorded about 800 or 900 movies from TCM. About half were recorded on VHS. I didn't know any better and recorded most in slp mode. Many of those movies I watched only once or while I was recording and never watched the tapes again. Waste of time and space. lol

"No signal" Interruptions on TCM?

I've never gotten a no signal message but for the past month or 2, every time I watch or record a movie on TCM I lose sound for 2-3 seconds usually during the middle of the movie.
