  1. I believe the quote is ".....it's a sign of weakness." Now if I'm mistaken I'm not going to apologize.
  2. Actually there aren't that many. I like a few teams and can't stand a few teams, but the great majority I'm neutral on.
  3. I've never heard the radio version, but I've read that it had more of a hard edge than the TV version. The kids still get off some good shots in the latter, but they're on the lighter side. I think the parents were also given a softer tone on the TV show.
  4. Step Down to Terror (1958) Charles Drake, Coleen Miller, Josephine Hutchinson. I recall reading many moons ago that someone had the audacity or perhaps stupidity to produce a remake of Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, but never thought much about it, until I happened to come across it on YT. It's titled Step Down to Terror. While the basic plot is the same, there are a number of changes in the details. Uncle Charlie is now Uncle John. He returns not to his sister's house but to that of his mother and his widowed sister-in-law and her young son. Uncle John doesn't
  5. For a 1950s TV show FKB was fairly realistic, though that's a relative concept. I always got a kick out of how Jim Anderson would come home and take off his suit jacket and put on a jacket with patched sleeves. One cool hepcat.
  6. My post was on the opaque side. Put the emphasis on the word Vicious.
  7. Guilty. I'm more of an early Black Sabbath fan than an Ozzy fan, but the title is irresistible.
  8. I think it would be fun to ******** someone with a golf club.~Charles Foster Kane.
  9. He was actually a virtuoso on the bass guitar.
  10. Indeed. Too bad they also didn't record a song titled I'm A Sucker.
  11. I prefer Night Train, the song that is. Black 47 has a song titled Livin' In America. Close enough.
  12. Being a Steelers fan all the other AFC North teams are POS, though maybe we can forget about the Bengals. I didn't switch over until the middle of the first quarter and it was already 14-0. Big Ben has usually been bad about throwing interceptions, though during the regular season he didn't have a big problem this year. I really don't have a team to root for in the Super Bowl, though I may have a team to root against.
  13. I believe that has already been posted, but anytime I see Trump and loser together I'm okay.
  14. I had never seen it before so I thought I'd take a look. I guess a guy in a Hawaiian shirt who uses a cigarette holder would be a little strange as a cadet in a southern military school back in the 1950s. Yeah, he was a manipulative creep, but other than that, so what? It was the usual macho bs one might expect from that setting. No one wanted to stray very far outside the lines. Not of much interest to me.
  15. Number of Steelers' Super Bowl rings-6 Number of Browns' Super Bowl rings-0, not even a pinkie one. I hope KC crushes the Brownies like the POS they are.
  16. I enjoy giving unsolicited political advice. This is just a waste of time and money. Donny will be gone in ten days. Why even bother?
  17. Gangsters, crooked pols, cops, wise crackin' dames, on the dull side dames, thugs, newspaper tycoons, hangers on, fancy Dans, just slightly crooked pols, waiters, trophy wife, dumb DAs, all well done and entertaining, but at the end of the day kind of meh. Maybe the gay subtext of Bendix (hey I just realized there's a gs pun there) and Ladd and their hours in the rubber ball room is actually what makes this here flick a seminal one.
  18. Another move even dumber than the move to impeach Donny. Convening a Senate trial after he has left office. C'mon man.
  19. We were talking about the TV show Fear Thy Roommate a new ID series, sort of a spin-off of the ID show Fear Thy Neighbor, but this time THEY'RE IN THE HOUSE! If this was a coup it was the most amateurish, shambolic coup in a long time. I really can't call it a coup, it was so not there.
  20. The plaque with Donny's head is on the other side of the Lincoln portrait.
