I thought it was fascinating that these were filmed after Carney had won the Oscar. He demanded the same pay as Gleason was making for those specials. And apparently he got it !

Actually, with so many digital subchannels showing old programs like this, there are places where they could be shown. And they are free to watch. I would go to some of their websites and would shoot them an email and see what happens.

I actually like that feature and have used it often. The whole streaming/cable/satellite world is still the wild west. Eventually things will settle down and make some sense.

I have SlingTV and I don't have credentials to use WatchTCM. So I can relate a little.

Unfortunately for you, no telling how long cable is going to last. So many are going to streaming, the future is uncertain. In the meantime, I'm sure its a pain in the neck.
