I've seen the other two but not that first one...maybe when I was real young I mighta seen it but that schtootz Wallace ford was really awful.

why does tcm hafta waste our time with stinkers like that? what an excruciating experience seeing guys like cecil kellaway and george zucco wasted in such a lame movie. 35 minutes into it I dreamt of how much I would enjoy seeing kharis strangulate...slowly...that infuriatingly awful comic relief babe but then I started hoping that kharis would shove poopsie down his throat just to put an end to NYC terminology.. and what was defiled was the recycled music from son of Frankenstein.

and svengoolie actually revealed an interesting trivia fact about this movie... 13 years later matt willis' werewolf makeup was recycled in The Werewolf (1956) with Steven Ritch and Don Megowan. I didn't know that. I thought about it and said yeah, that is the same werewolf makeup.

yes, and there is great pathos as a shot dying werewolf disdained by his vampire master and being told to drag himself off to die in a corner finding a crucifix and pondering on it with his werewolf face and in the final moments it is this misbegotten heroic werewolf who is the hero.

a good one tonite...Return of the Vampire starring Bela Lugosi. an underrated classic! it's very atmospheric and how imaginative having the vampire's henchman being a werewolf himself a supernatural creature...and he talks too. coulda been better in places. after tesla comes back and converts andreas back into a werewolf, it woulda been neat if andreas as the werewolf coulda scared the skirt off of lady jane Ainsley in her study. imo this is a better horror film for Lugosi than either Dracula or mark of the vampire.

no, don megowan. not a bad exit for the creature but the movie coulda done without the extraneous bs about Barton (jeff morrow) and wife's (leigh snowden) troubled marriage. you know, I doan really think that it is appropriate to classify the gill man as the last classic universal monster along with Frankenstein, Dracula and the wolf man rather the gill man seems imo to belongs more to the 1950s atomic age genre period. none of them universal classic movies push evolution like the later 1950s movies do.

gary cooper Bright Leaf he is the most uncooperish in it as he plays a totally unpleasant guy. so unpleasant you can't buy his reformation at the end.

is mel Gibson gonna have the players in his new wild bunch speak Spanish? apocalypto was a good film but Gibson likes to hamstring his films by not having the actors speak English which is really stupid.

I had some FUBU shoes for a number of years. I had banged the toes on my left foot on a brick step pretty bad so to protect the bandaged wounded toes I put on these FUBU shoes. very nice. but then I stored them away for a number of years and earlier this year I broke them out and started to walk in them... well sir... they had deteriorated stored in a drawer and as I walked the sole material started flaking and breaking off leaving a trail of debri. hadda take them off and dispose of them. the guy I got them from got them at a salvation army post for fifteen dollars unfortunately they were not made from long lasting material. so those FUBU guys cut corners somewhere. never have I seen footware break up like that. looked something like these
