I have no problem being smart enough to know how you can record off the cable box on to a VCR so I still use a VCR and doan intend to stop. as far as complaining to TCM about their repetitive programming I say doan waste your time even bothering. they just doan give a bleep.

What classic movies does TCM not show?

they doan show Hot Spell with Anthony Quinn, Shirley Booth in just one of her small handful of films, Eileen Heckart, Shirley MacLaine, Earl Holliman, Warren Stevens... they do not show the early dino de laurentis peplum Attila with Anthony Quinn in the title role and a young gorgeous Sophia Loren. -

just grabbed a 2 hr 35 min version that's posted on youtube. hope there ain't too much smut but viewing the start our hero enters a bathing chamber with alotta babes nursing their babes. just separate the dirty parts from the rest of it and you got yourself probably a great film. mcdowell is a hoot. since the DVD player in my flatscreen went on the permanent fritz I doan hafta worry about that screwy true 16:9 resolution of 720x400 anymore. so now I just grab something, convert it with ConvertXtoDVD, burn and watch it on my portable 7" DVD player. caligula should be fun. why can't TCM show something like caligula on underground? no time anymore have I for slackers and their chronic unrelenting slackdom. never mind!...I'll just get it and watch it myself. "well, that's just the way it's going to have to be." -john wayne, the war wagon

Is Steve McQueen "The King of Movie Cool?"

yeah, but mcqueen could be laconic. mitchum too but not bogart, however, I think bogey knew he was at his coolest playing baddies. -

Wayne never gave any credit to himself as a great actor. he followed advice on how to deliver his lines in a certain way and it worked. Wayne's ability was his skill at natural reactiveness which many actors do not have... if you're gonna take a shot at wayne admit that you do so because you are intolerant of his conservatism and not hide behind a critique of his acting skills. -
yeah, and star trek IV the voyage home was a stinker too. good direction by nimoy but a ridiculously heavy handed pc story.

at first glance I thought it looked more like Gary Seven.

if all that spam gibberish doan bother TCM I ain't gonna let it bother me. it's their problem and not ours... maybe they think it's decorative. -

I saw larry pennell over the weekend on an episode of Branded on inspire and thought he looked a lot like Buck Taylor who played Newly on Gunsmoke and as far as Tab Hunter... "I thought he was dead." -eddie Rochester anderson, the comic

of course we are but liberals always have to be free to make their points about social injustice and inequality. the human condition will suffer irreparable damage if they are prevented from sounding off in all situations. they are America's self-appointed defenders. burn, scalawags, burn

connery was so dapper and debonair in never say never again he reminded me of fred Astaire.

I always liked Roger Moore as James Bond from the first. if he wasn't as good as sean connery as 007 it wasn't by much. to me connery and moore are co-equally good as bond.
