too many silents! just look at all this silent stuff for today's programming. and I am sick and tired of tcm's neglect of the horror/science fiction genres. if tcm started to do proper justice to those genres, they'd have a lot more content to show instead of beating their fixed film coffer over our heads. tcm oughta wake up. tcm wants respect for showing dario argento's 'la chesa' the other nite? comet is showing 'the vampire and the ballerina' tonite at 2 and that is great vintage italian horror kitsche. tcm needs more old-fashioned space cadet-ism and less arteest-ism. just one space cadet's opinion

never having seen that footage before the film gives the mistaken impression that the fall from the tree trunk kills those guys when they hit bottom. an unfortunate omission.

king kong escapes, a good one. this evil nefarious oriental scientist-mastermind Dr. Who, not the british time lord, plans to mine this neato radioactive mineral for limitless power purposes he's accompanied by this drop dead gorgeous oriental femme fatale beauty who gets the hots for this u.s sub commander played by rhodes reason. also on board the sub is a cute as a button linda miller who gets screamy whenever kong picks her up. this film's alotta fun what with the hot babes.

well, isn't that the whole point of the film? a sour irradiated boozer puts the grab on her unfaithful hubby. and who can deny that that allison hayes is hot in her two-piece bedsheet attire. a rather striking 50 foot woman diorama model.

make the film better. re-edit it. take out... 1. the feminist tomboy 2. the black stormtrooper 3. the fruit-creature maz kanata and just leave luke, leia, han, chewie and all the disney multi-millions of dollars worth of most excellent eye-candy with the new starkiller and the millennium falcon. then we can have a great film.

it's all a silly overly self-important dog & pony show to them now anyway. I might watch the show for it's comedic value.
