  1. or lara begging komarovsky to forgive her in doctor zhivago.
  2. it woulda made far more sense for han to have given the millenium falcon to c-3p0 than the girl... or even vader's helmet.
  3. I wish there was some lost footage from doctor zhivago showing a remorseful guilt-stricken lara begging komarovsky's forgiveness for wounding him and confessing that he will always be her one true love.
  4. well, I had read that some footage round up on the cutting room floor.
  5. I didn't know that. I too always thought that pretty Galileo Seven yeoman was hot too, Dargy.
  6. any lost footage from Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958)
  7. well, I doan know. I first saw 2001: a space odyssey on nbc 1977 or 78. thought it was lousy. almost forty years later my perception of it has changed... I think it is even more lousy than I originally thought. Dr. Floyd and company enjoy a hearty meal of chilled ham & cheese on rye sandwiches in outer space.
  8. I shouldn't have spilled the beans about the naked-butted parole officer chained in the middle of the highway by dembo? (hoffman)
  9. my favorites are Phantasm and Phantasm II. haven't watched Phantasm III or IV. coscarelli needs to do a prequel that details the initial onslaught on mike's family.
  10. he played a good game. naturally, this giant of american horror cinema must be included in 'in memoriam'. http://www.imdb.com/news/ni59365798?pf_rd_m=A2FGELUUNOQJNL&pf_rd_p=1920909362&pf_rd_r=06C584Q3S51ZJMH0FTH2&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=hm_nw_tp2
  11. well, having first seen straight time on pay cable some 35 years years ago I just assumed that most posting here would have seen it at least once.
  12. 'nunzio' starring david proval from 1978. he's a mentally-challenged italian kid who delivers groceries and fancies that he's superman. there's this scene with a hot teen-aged girl who decides to sow her wild oats with nunzio.
  13. I saw the thief of baghdad (1940) when I was a kid never seeing the douglas fairbanks silent before until right here on tcm a few months ago... for the first time! hey? wasn't william cameron menzies set designer for both the silent and korda technicolor version?
  14. only thing I like about zeppelin is the theme music.
  15. but he played a college student in rope too.
  16. anybody stay up and watch that last nite? I did. the early part of the film works for the most part what with dembo being harassed by this fat parole officer. winds up back in the city slammer because busey is a sniffer. so here's dembo in the car with his great buddy fatso and the guy's giving him some bs about trust so tell him who the sniffer is. at that point dembo's hadda nuff and starts giving the guy his elbo...hard. then he drags fatstuff outta the car and handcuffs him to a highway chainlink fence and pulls the guy's pants down so everyone can get a load of the sob's naked behind... I was laughin' for five minutes! it's gotta be the best part of the whole dam movie. after that the film gets quite routine. theresa russell is pretty much clam-jawed throughout. harry dean stanton is eddie schue, a good ol' boy who's a might too touchy about heist punctuality but a decent friend to dembo. dembo gets pi ss ed off at his gun supplier and breaks through the wall of a gunshop and then a bank holdup followed by a big jewelry store holdup with buck-toothed gary busey none too dependable as the getaway driver. so dembo and schue try to shashay away none to nonchalantly, a cop car shows up and schue gets it. dembo shoots a cop through a fence then pays a visit to busey with russell waitin' in the car. dembo knows he's killed a cop so what the heck. he executes busey for takin' off. so off to mexico dembo and the girl go only for the girl to become ill later after hearing the radio news. so he leaves her off and he goes and that's pretty much it. recorded it on my vcr but I'm gonna rewind and record over it just after the highway naked butt howl fest.
  17. student kenneth lawrence in alfred hitchcock's 'Rope'.
  18. I doan care what anybody says... I still wanna believe that somehow someway elvis is still alive! I think somebody oughta check out the addarondacks.
  19. our new lukette skywalker. and I know how she beat kylo ren.... he was distracted.
  20. hey everyone, doan miss 'murder, he says' tonite at nine-thirty. a real howl with fred macmurray running afoul of some hillbilly killers. I always wonder if the fleagle house is authentic 19th century ozark architecture. barbara pepper who plays the real bonnie fleagle would go on to play doris ziffel on green acres.
  21. no, veteran actor Charles Watts who was good at playing stuffy politicians. he was atlas suspenders salesman O.W. Schultz in The Spirit of St. Louis. "we hold up the pants of the middle west."
  22. I remember frank's parting line being simply "goodbye, margaret". my issue is not the competency of margaret houlihan but the writers pushing the ms. feminist independence line a bit too much. they destroyed a lot of the continuity with the earlier seasons. the mistake they made is that in order to 'dignify' the character of hot lips from a nurse who was willing to make of herself a bimbo having an affair with a married doctor, the writers had her turn on frank burns. feminist independence be damned, no one likes a woman who shafts her man in the back and, rat-weasel or not, frank burns was her man and she was just as morally flawed in engaging in their relationship as HE was. no one likes disloyalty in a woman...any woman. I doan believe I'm wrong about this because 'margaret' kinda betrays herself a little bit when she says to hawkeye in her tent something to the affect of "donald penobscott is no frank burns." so you can gather from that scene that the writers at least wanted the audience to know that margaret did have some regrets about turning on frank... maybe she got them when she heard that while on R&R frank accosted a blonde in a bathhouse shouting "margaret!" and winds up stateside promoted to lieutenant colonel. she bailed out too soon.
