  1. I always thought sterling hayden looked like marshall thompson.
  2. yeah! like McDonalds changing their cooking oil for french fries back in the nineteen seventies.
  3. I'd love to see the old penny singleton-arthur lake blondie films. penny singleton was the voice of jane jetson even as late as 1992's jetsons the movie. incidently jetsons the movie was the last voice work for the great mel blanc.
  4. maybe osborne doan know about divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood.
  5. stinks! two wonderful world of colors and darby o'gill? imo lousy. I'd rather see a doc on the set designs of the parent trap. that beautiful kitchen with a view of the rock wall interiors.
  6. I agree. ben managing to stay above being tediously boring while introducing the same films over and over again is deserving of great praise.
  7. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (1956) as many times as tcm has made people sick with GWTW.
  8. specifically inspire and me tv. the former like to make us all sick with the virginian and the big valley.
  9. must've missed that. I might watch. that's a good movie to check out the technicolor hues on your TV.
  10. same old story, nuthin' on tcm, movies!, amc, etc. alotta cable channels like to throw these old 1960s tv westerns at us on saturdays. that crap is bad enough during the week. so for me today it will be two good eps of leave it to beaver from five to six on antenna tv, then acquanetta'a 2nd gorilla babe flick at ten on svengoolie followed by the always dependable lost in space and voyage to the bottom of the sea. also gonna see if I can lasso chappie.
  11. whatta talky waste of time. only thing to do is gawk at the incredibly gorgeous ursula thiess.
  12. sat through The Bowery Boys Meet The Monsters and dam well wish I hadn't. found it totally unfunny. a man-eating plant, a gorilla, john dehner and a robot. nothin. there are certainly much funnier bowery boys movies out there like Mr. Hex with byron foulger and the one where sach's mind winds up in the body of a neanderthal. that one is a riot especially when slip tries to push around sach.
  13. we shouldn't have to hope that an outfit like movies! might eventualy break this stuff out. tcm oughta. somebody give osborne and mankiewicz a hotfoot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zMGA1HmAN0
  14. john nesbitt's passing parade: our old car or the great morgan.
  15. I like the old universal logo from the early 1940s with the bold commanding music.
  16. so why would such great professed cinemaphiles like tcm be ignoring this film? nitrate disintegration has not claimed it so... tcm oughta be showin' it. why aren't they? only the ghost of Jack Duval knows why.
  17. Hot Spell (1958) have absolutely no idea why it is no longer shown. none. it's like tcm forgot it exists. this film cries out to be shown again by tcm. why? why is it now gone?
  18. that's looks like miss crabtree.
  19. the opening is interesting. Gleason, Arnold Stang, Carol Channing and a remote controlled color TV.
  20. the film is a self-fulfilling prophecy. when anyone tries to sit through skidoo they err... skidoo.
  21. and they are properly respecting the great one by not showing skidoo.
  22. I'm sure they have aired up with maisie recently. she's flyin' a corny helicopter.
