the majestically noble music of Frank Cordell to KHARTOUM.

james drury plays a doctor in Good Day for a Hanging starring Fred MacMurray.
the only guy in town who agrees with Ben Cutler about Robert Vaughn

I too have been watching The Virginian on inspire.
imo not nearly as well-written as Bonanza.
woulda been better 30 minutes shorter.

interesting tidbits about MOTB 1962. Conrad Hall one of the writers on the film was related to James Norman Hall who wrote the book with Charles Nordhoff.
MGM was gonna burn their reproduction of the Bounty after the film was completed but marlon brando objected saying he would not complete the film if they torched it.
so MGM's Bounty survived for decades because of brando.

Do you prefer this installment's scoring over the others?
yeah, I guess so. I never payed any intention to anything after temple of doom.
-
mel brooks never told frankie laine Blazing Saddles was a comedy so he would sing it serious.

-
posting it just cause it's so beautiful.

-
to me the best version of the Indiana jones theme is the end credits music to temple of doom.

What about Audie Murphy & Tim Holt at RKO for awhile?
Just playin of course
Eastwood's A #1 idol is COOPER!
duke didn't like clint's rape scene in high plains drifter so clint kinda holds it against him a little.
personally I wish duke had been a little more accommodating torwards clint since clint was respectful of him.

great lists yoda78 because you recognize that duke and clint are at the top of their genre.

been thinkin about the big country last few days and I think Heston was miscast as jim leach. he's wasted because he's not nearly the main character and for him to have picked a role that puts hin in the background after starring in DeMille's greatest film The Ten Commandments I think was a mistake.
I doan like the film and I doan like carroll baker and McKay made too much of an issue outta tryng to prove whatta paragon of virtue he is.

as far as Michael Woodard being vampirized by barnabas and trying to bite his old friend Julia it came off like a bad impression of prof. stokes attacking jeff clark after he arrives on Eustace island in House of Dark Shadows.
-
I wish I could find the innovation comics adaptation of the 1991 dark shadows.
ben cross was excellent as Barnabas and I feel that Barbara Steele surpassed Grayson Hall as Julia.

I'm watching Dark Shadows on Decades (9:00 PDT weekdays); This last week or so has been about Maggie Evans and her lack of memory about what Barnabas did, and David getting lost for a few days and discovering Barnabas' coffin. There is also Barnabas dead sister Sara. The police and Maggie's dad try to trap her kidnapper by saying she has recovered her memory. Barnabas goes to kill her but instead Willie goes to warn her and falls into the police trap and takes 5 bullets.
ANYHOW: For these episodes they go from color to b&w, back to color, then back to b&w..... Say what????
Can anyone explain this? Now I can see when a new season starts, a series were all the previous episodes were b&w, now goes to color. But it remains color from then on.
This flip from one to another and back and forth; what gives?
some color eps after they went to color obviously do not exist. those eps usually have a poor grainy visual quality to them.

a lousy flick. no way I'm sitting through that.
I'd like to see Svengoolie, covid-19 infectee of Horror
