I kind of love... knocking it!  Honestly, that movie is perfectly bad, a smorgasbord for the BAD movie lover... a real treat.  Terrible.  Yes, I love it too!

    "On her neck...???"

    what about chickasaw falls?

    :)

  2. a waste of time as svenidiot is showing the americanized version which is unrestored and has incomplete death scenes of lucy and Dracula.

what you wanna watch is the 2012 restored BFI print.

to my knowledge the british opening titles have never been seen in the states.

Here is one film  that I didn't have the heart to watch it all the way through.... 🤢

    I think it's a good film.

Stephen Boyd is an absolute howl throughout.

For TV?  That would be THE NIGHT STALKER (1972).  Here's the whole movie:

I love Dan Curtis stuff but Reggie Nalder's nosferatu is exactly what a vampire oughta be, a frighteningly horrific parasite.

having said that I'll take kolchak over the modern x-files crud any day.

Dan Curtis knew what he wanted and he knew how to do it.

after it's short-lived run on ABC it's a helluva shame Darren MacGavin never got another chance to reprise Kolchak.

  5. last nite before bed I wasted about 90 minutes watching a free on demand movie, the brain eaters. actor ed(win) nelson's masterpiece.
sat thru it once decades ago so not remembering how bad it was watched it again last nite.
and never mind patton, need a job that needs doing put senator walter powers on it.

it's bad but not as silly as anything by ed wood.

actress joanna lee whe plays ed(win's) girl would go on to create the great Gazoo for The Flintstones.

Is this movie scary or campy?

Was it based on the Stephen King novel? I didn't much care for the book.

I read the king novel after I saw the CBS mini-series and boy what an improvement.

writers like king always get indignant when their books are improved upon.

I also read Jaws and it ain't nothing like the movie.

in the book Benchley has ellen brody having an affair with matt hooper.

boy did Spielberg improve on that.

It's all subjective.  I think the score's composer had the perfect descriptive name--- SUKMAN!  ;)

And one would have to be able to stomach David Soul's tepid acting "style".

    Sepiatone

david soul's acting ain't too bad for a guy who is primarily a musician.
