"why of all the dirty....Hendron! help me up!" -
the public probably didn't like it for the same reason it is such a downer too many. it's a great film ruined by Hallie breaking heroic tom's heart.

irregardless, the public loved the sfx of these old science fiction technicolor extravaganzas of George Pal causing him to be dubbed the Walt Disney of science fiction. -

not a hard film to come by. made a search with my torrent search app and DLed a lovely mpeg4 file, a WEBRip. since the frame rate is 23.97 and since I'm all out of blank DVDs I'll put it on a CD. it's not a perfect film. I think Pal shoulda given us more scary matte shots of Bellus as it homes in on the earth. -
and much better than omar sharif.

cheri oteri was ten times more funny than Kristen wiig.

zyra the planet passes by the earth first and about a half a month later coming into direct collision the star Bellus "it's better to know." -Richard Derr -
to me The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance has always been especially moving because Duke has the thankless job of playing a man callously spurned by the woman he loves and who dam well shoulda known how he felt about her. so I continue to wonder is this film a tribute to a tenderfoot eastern lawyer who sees the future of the west... or... is it a tribute to a strong man of the west who sacrifices what he wants for the happiness of the woman he loves.

what command! what strength! what persona! John Wayne! the first name in screen toughness.
-
wayne shoulda won Oscars for a lot of his screen performances like sgt. john m. stryker.
-
imagine Nancy Archer needing instructions on how to pick up Harry.
-
Duke never attacked the cereal and dairy industries. joaquin phoenix derided us all for consuming... 1. milk 2. cereal 3. candy, cupcakes and chocolates anything milk-related he put down. Hollywood calls that being socially conscious. to the rest of us it is stupid and asinine. conservatism ain't about to disappear when it is handed that kind of ammunition.
-
this is what they like to do... gat handed a statuette and then engage in exhibitions of exaggerated self-importance. joaquin tells us not to drink milk because cows are exploited. what a dip****.
