does she still have her umbrella with the parrot or is it an owl handle?

so many old movies that I can no longer see. movies! is a joke with their prints of dubbed out words like 'damn'. I'm not gonna put up with that. has movies ever shown air force with john Garfield?
how do I see that now? somebody needs to tell tcm that all these streaming services require fees (which I ain't payin')
by the way, air force is gonna take on the status of a classic in the coming years because tcm must know this because they like to show it on veterans related holidays. a great once underappreciated war film and yes...it might be even better colorized.

let me know when somebody sees jonathan frid with his fangs.

If you're interested in hearing Orson Welles' War of the Worlds broadcast, it can be found here:
https://archive.org/details/OWOTA/owota91.mp3
It's episode 16 on this page (OW91).
[Edit: I originally didn't notice that a prior poster had already helpfully provided a link to the broadcast.]

here is a very moving piece of music from Godzilla 1985. it evokes a sense of sadness and tragedy of Godzilla's very existence but what it has always suggested to me is the bond between his existence and the fate of Japan since the double tragedies of Heroshima and Nagasaki and because of that a sense of compassion for the great beast. he wants to go home.
tcm is gone for me however...
I have downloaded the English dubbed versions of Godzilla vs. Gigan and Terror of MechaGodzilla off of archive.org.

I watched it once until the nutty brainwashing scenes started.

Do this, just get the High Speed Internet from Comcast. Subscribe to Sling TV $25-30 per month and add the movie package an extra $5 per month. Monthly cost is now $35-40. Sports packages will be more but since you don't care about the sports you'll be fine.
Get a wifi (a one time cost of about $30+) and connect that to the main cable box. If any of those TV's are smart TV's they may be already able to pick up that wifi signal.
If the TV's don't have it (not wifi enabled) but have HDMI connections you attach something that will pick up the wifi for them such as a Chromecast or an Amazon Fire stick they are around $35+ one time cost.
Best case monthly scenario (if your TVs are wifi enabled) is your paying whatever Comcast will charge for just the high speed internet plus the $35-40 per month for Sling.
Out of pocket one time setup costs will be for the wifi $35 and the Chromecast/firestticks either you buy five of them for all your TVs which will be roughly $175.
Or since you probably won't be watching all 5 TV's at once just buy one Chromecast and plug it into whichever TV you are watching at the time.
Worst case scenario is if all five of your TVs are connected with just coaxial connections. I'm not sure if there is a workaround for the Chromecasts or Firesticks for that.
If you have a smartphone you can cast anything you can pick up on them to the TV'a also.
pay! pay! pay! is that all you Saxons think about?

I would love to see ANY worthwhile movie on a big screen. One without cars, toasters and such "transforming" into giant alien robots, or movies with or about comic book superheroes( since as a kid I never bothered reading them anyway), or zombies, teenaged vampires, or werewolves who turn into giant wolves from average sized teens with good hair and six packs, and have disappearing clothes that somehow reappear magically when they turn back into humans.
Or movies that didn't have the bulk of their budgets spent on gallons of fake blood and replicated body parts to drape all over most of the scenes. Or overdone martial arts "moves" like the spinning foot upside the head move that a couple of black belts I know tell me is one move that's never really taught and that can be easily disarmed and rendered useless by most green novices. Or too, movies about roving street gangs that challenge each other to break dance-offs. All wearing backward baseball caps and 80% of their jeans' leg material gathered at their ankles.
I think I just described a majority of movies made in the last 20 or so years!

but we still could use a few movies where 30 and 50 foot babes really get a good grip on their men.

I'm not going to pay for a bunch of sports channels I will never watch just to get back tcm and there are no other cable competitors where I live to challenge comcast so goodbye tcm.
you helped me develop an appreciation for silent movies like nosferatu and the haunted carriage.
