  1. you mean Zellweger's not the new Barbra Streisand?
  2. I once talked to whitey from LITB by email.
  3. not related to Joker but so what. the franchise came unglued with the 2nd burton film and it has been downhill ever since. the Schumacher films are an abomination. bring back Keaton!
  4. elfman's score for the first movie was weak. creative but weak. elfman could not imbue his composition with the percussive punch it needed that woulda been child's play for Goldsmith or Williams. that's why the only track I like is attack of the batwing.
  5. I watched a little of santa Barbara or was it passions when they had Juliet Mills playing a witch with her midget familiar. I wasn't following the stories as I had the sound turned down
  6. except for the beginning eps of the series all eps of Green Acres were directed by Richard L. Bare.
  7. I haven't looked at mine in decades because it's stored away so I can't tell you about it's guts. maybe you're right I doan know. I've had so many radios in my life. hadda beautiful pocket transistor radio mid-60s in a leather case. then I had this really adorable little AM pocket radio it was very small and compact. some kid intimidated me into giving it to him on the school bus. said he'd give it back. it was an archer with a yellow plastic body and metallic speaker grille.
  8. very funny. no, mine has a real wooden cabinet and looks like the image I posted.
  9. bring back the ole AM loop antennas. question, I have a reproduction of an old vintage wooden tabletop radio from the 1930s / 40s a real cloth grille and a bracket around the frequency dial. has a Philco model 70 cathedral cabinet. think it has a loop antenna, hamradio? I have it stored in a closet somewhere in a box. got it back in the late 1980s. https://www.wshu.org/post/radio-great-depression-part-ii#stream/0 it's probably a reproduction of this.
  10. the superman episode from the 1950s 'superman in exile' has the best early atomic pile on TV I've ever seen. really scary with the noise and the flame bursts coming outta them pipes. (control rods)
  11. one of the things that hurts the film for me is that stupid musical twing we hear at certain moments during the film. Peckinpah shoulda kept those twings to himself.
  12. Drax wasn't exactly no **** for the women so why does he get to pick and choose? notice that Drax had no babe. he's gonna reshape the earth and enjoy tea and cucumber sandwiches.
  13. okay all you big wup cinema experts... what brand and model? and what about that orange juice commercial. a few months from now we'll all be coughing like that due to global warming, right?
  14. and as far as moonraker I just doan buy space shuttles full of beautiful people completely indifferent to the idea of Drax's mass extermination of billions of men, women and children. where did Drax recruit that group? SoCal? and afterwards which of them had the task of waste disposal of billions of human corpses? I mean the women might get their metallic bikinis soiled. all Drax hadda do was tell Jaws that pigtails would live.
