  3. Ms. Neill also had a brief role in the Christopher Reeves SUPERMAN film.
  4. 7/19 LADY IN THE DARK Video presentation of the 1954 historical TV production. Music by Kurt Weill. Stars Ann Southern, John Daly and Carlton Carpenter. This is probably taken from a kinescope as this presentation was done live as others were back in the golden age of TV. Hopefully, the video quality for this VAI release is good.

  10. TWILIGHT TIME is having a $10 off sale of many of their $29.95 titles such as APRIL LOVE, THE YOUNG LIONS, FROM THE TERRACE, and many titles from the FOX and Columbia library. Sale ends 7/1/16.
  11. FANNY which stars Leslie Caron will make its Blu Ray debut on 9/20 by Shout Factory. The film was originally released by WB whose rights to the film may have expired. It seems unlikely that WB would dole it out to another company for release, something they never seem to do.
  12. FOX also cast Ewell opposite another blonde bombshell Sheree North in THE LIEUTENANT WORE SKIRTS.

  17. JUNE/JULY BLU RAY RELEASES: UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON VICTOR/VICTORIA THEY WERE EXPENDABLE
  18. Since the titles are licensed out by both KINO and TWILIGHT TIME, their list price is much higher than what FOX would probably charge.
  19. I watched this very stupid movie and did not find it too dark. I also saw the trailer for this film and do not remember seeing a color sequence. I have no idea why a color sequence would be inserted in the trailer for this film. I am sure the DVD Universal released for FRENCHMAN'S CREEK is not washed out like the one TCM has been running.
  20. Most of the pretty boys in from Classic Hollywood did not age well by their 40s. I add the following three to the list: RICHARD GREENE (In my opinion much better looking than Tyrone Power CARY GRANT (One star that aged well) DENNIS MORGAN (Also aged well)
  21. MAY Releases: THE GIFT OF LOVE (1958) - Lauren Bacall, Robert Stack PRINCE OF PLAYERS (1954) - Richard Burton, Maggie McNamara, John Derek, Raymond Massey No word as to whether these two releases will be pan and scan or widescreen. FOX has been very inconsistent about this.
  22. kino continues to acquire films from the FOX library and putting them out on Blu Ray. Its unfortunate FOX cares little about their classics. August releases: MARK OF ZORRO RAWHIDE
