  1. I’m not saying this to derail the thread trust me, but I’m sure he was thrilled he at least lived to see a Democrat back in the White House. (Ed was a hardcore Lib!) (and bless him for it)
  2. I met him once and he was SO NICE!!!! (And it was in a situation where he did not have to be!) sad to hear this.
  3. It was too painful for me to watch, I actually turned off the episode. (Not because of her acting, mind you, but because it was SO SAD AND TRAGIC!)
  4. OMIGOD YES!!!! Like, I know she was probably only 12 years old, and I cannot imagine the pressures of doing live television, and my short term memory is fried so I know I would have a hard time remembering lines, but dayum!!! I lost count of how many times that actress visibly looks offstage for her lines...And it’s a shame, because the story of Barnabas and his little sister is one of the most tragic in the entire history of the show. They did a much better job casting Sarah in the 1991 primetime reboot.
  5. I’m still in the alternate parallel time of 1970, I wonder if HUBERT HUMPHREY was president in this dimension.. They definitely relaxed the live taping rules for these in order to film Angelique and her twin sister and to apply Christopher Pennock’s Mr. Hyde make up, there’s absolutely no way they could’ve done that live. Disappointingly, many of these episodes have been pretty much error free as a result, although I did watch a bar fight where a guy grabbed a (fake) bottle that smashed instantly in his hand like a Christopher Radko ornament.
  6. Wow, Denise Nickerson is an absolutely amazing child actress. Just genuine and intuitive, a natural!
  7. I don’t know, maybe they can relocate to Catalina... (I hate to think of anyone being stuck for an eternity in Long Beach.)

  9. Too late, somebody else made the same joke a few posts back. And then somebody else chimed in to say that that someone beat them to it. (It’s perfectly understandable though, this thread has been moving lightning fast.) Also also, it’s not entirely inappropriate to use the Queen Mary for the analogy, because I was reading yesterday how it’s in serious serious trouble in Long Beach Harbor. Apparently the hull is rusting, the structure is collapsing, and nobody knows how to pay for the hundreds of millions of dollars of renovation it needs.
  10. refresh [rəˈfreSH] VERB give new strength or energy to; reinvigorate. "the shower had refreshed her" synonyms: reinvigorate · revitalize · revive · restore · brace · fortify · strengthen · [more]

  13. The only thing I did not like about “sleepy hollow” was the “murder she wrote”-style ending, It felt very out of place. But it’s easily one of the most gorgeous films of the 1990s, if I remember correctly it maybe even earned a couple of Oscars for the costume and the cinematography.
  14. I really have to admit, I absolutely loved how he played Willy Wonka as Michael Jackson...The rest of the movie though, I was not as big a fan of. But I did enjoy Depp in it.
  15. There’s several thousand people on my list who I would rather have a voodoo doll of...If you do get me a Johnny Depp voodoo doll, I will send it to a Methadone clinic right away.
  16. Oh, and I’ll engage in my own bit of heresy, I actually like Johnny Depp in the Willy Wonka remake. He’s also not the worst thing about “dark shadows” (2012) by a mile (there’s at least 127 other problems with the movie before you even get to his performance.)
