THEY ONLY KILL THEIR MASTERS (1972) I like the movie well enough, but it could have been better. The cast is ♠aces♠, tho! Beware of the shifting police car! → Next: A movie you watched and thought "Gee, this is a lot better than I thought it would be!". -

I'd like to see the 1974 Tv movie "The Missing Are Deadly". It's one of those TVM's that's not been released to homevideo in any format (otherwise I'd had have bought a copy to watch!). In the meantime, I'm going to grill some Wuhan Virus Burgers on my handy dandy COVID-19 GRILL. This grill is unique -- it not only cooks your meat it burns your face off.

JOSEPH ADLER died at 79 yesterday in South Florida. He directed and wrote a few movies, including one movie from 1978 called CONVENTION GIRLS that I've always wanted to see. I've got a poster for it. He was very busy in the theater scene in the Miami/Coral Gables area for decades. -

The one with Van Heflin, Robert Ryan and Janet Leigh. Forgot the title, but I've watched it on TCM. The movie was released circa 1950. Had to do with Ryan seeking revenge on Heflin for something Van did in WW2. Leigh was Van's concerned wife. (EDIT: I just had to look up the title -- it's ACT OF VIOLENCE released in '49). OPEN -
You should've watched THE TWELTH COMMANDMENT, SansFin. It's a better movie! (Just kidding; I don't know if there ~is~ a movie with that title . . . ).

Ever seen a FOTOMAT 'DRIVE THRU MOVIES' VHS of "War of the Worlds"? (Has the Fotomat kiosk logo on the box and tape).

You mean you don't already have a copy of WAR OF THE WORLDS, LawrenceA?! Great gobs of naval gravy! I thought you'd have one already!

Speaking of THE BOXER . . . I rather like the versions by HENSON CARGILL and EMMYLOU HARRIS. Harris' version was a country hit circa 1980, btw.

I can't help but think of the 1936 movie WIFE VS. SECRETARY. I agree with Leonard Maltin's review that ruminates "the stars towered over the material". MGM could've cast all "B"-list actors for the four important roles as they had more stars than there were in Heaven on their payroll . . . but instead used 3 big stars and 1 up-and-coming star (+ May Robson). Maybe I'm way off with my thinking here, but WIFE VS. SECRETARY is the first movie I thought of -- for better or worse. Next: A movie you know is BAD, but you still like it anyway! -

GUILTY PLEASURE TIME! THE BEST DISCO IN TOWN from "The Ritchie Family". (No one's really named 'Ritchie', btw). If I'm the mood to listen to this I'll always listen to it several times in a row.
