  1. I reckon JOHN WAYNE still holds the record for 'Starring' roles in movies.  Except I forgot the exact number.  182?  Were it not for all of those "B"-Westerns he starred in from 1931-39 I don't know if Wayne would still hold the record.  He starred in THE BIG TRAIL (1930) and that didn't propel him to stardom until STAGECOACH (1939) did.  In the interim, however, he starred in bunches of "B" films.   99% Westerns and an occasional non-Western "B"-pic like 1937's "California Straight Ahead!".

I bought some of Wayne's "B"-Westerns like 1931's "RANGE FEUD, The" with Buck Jones.

  2. JARRETT (1973-Tvm)  Glenn Ford, Anthony Quayle.  Campy fun.  A busted pilot movie with a good cast.  Also stars Forrest Tucker, Yvonne Craig, Laraine Stephens, Richard Anderson.

I remembered this movie for almost 30 years after I saw it on television circa 1983 when I was 10.  I had a surprisingly clear memory that Ford was hunting down Biblical scrolls that were purloined by Quayle.  Finally acquired a VHS copy some 8 years ago from 'Robert's Rare Videos'.  To date, JARRETT has never been made available on homevideo.
