CHEATIN' HEARTS (James Brolin, Sally Kirkland). (Original title was "Paper Hearts" -- that's what shows up at the end of the film after the credits roll. Nothing like a last-second re-title).

KEEP MY GRAVE OPEN (1976) Another 'S.F. Brownrigg' film like "Don't Open the Door" and "Scum of the Earth". The 'S' stood for 'Sherald', btw.

That 2005 remake of THE FOG was ♦dire♦. So we have the original 1951 version of 'THE THING' and then the 1982 remake (which I quite like) and then there was a pre-quel from 2011 or 2012. I've never seen the prequel. Couldn't be bothered. I thought the '51 version was ok, but the '82 was much better. And all those creepy 'creations' added to the fun. I would wager the 2012 prequel is full of CGI effects instead of creepy things that are actually there. 'Nuff said.

KIRK DOUGLAS played a character named 'Lomax' in the 1967 Western THE WAR WAGON. → I don't mean to 'repeat', but I figured since Kirk passed away yesterday I'd mention it.

I saw THE VILLAIN in the theater, too. At the CINEMA 70 in Lake Worth, FL. I was a little shaver back then, but when "The Villain" was first released on video I immediately bought it. It's like a Coyote/Road Runner cartoon. Kirk was funny as outlaw Cactus Jack. In the movie, Paul Lynde as 'Chief Nervous Elk' calls him 'Many-Stickered John'. -

I concur; I hope TCM is able to get hold of some of Kirk's lesser-seen/lesser-known movies. -
