Greetings!
I am searching for a great movie made about the first rifle with a long-range scope. The movie takes place late 1800’s I believe, post Civil War and the shooter/inventor has the rifle angled up and the newly-invented scope level, and he can shoot a mile. I thought it was a Jimmy Stewart ( it’s NOT Winchester 73) or Gary Cooper (I don’t think it’s Springfield Rifle) movie but I’ve searched Google and IMdb, everywhere with no luck. So I’m hoping your vast knowledge out there will help me in my search! Any tidbit you can offer will help to guide me.
Thanks to whoever can help!

Thanks! but that's not it, that one is about the first repeater-rifle used in WW2. Let's keep looking, mine is a classic old true story, and worth finding!
