  3. Then watch and learn! Just kidding. But I found 15, plus 2 toons and a funny stinker...so it's just like every other year for me.
  4. Oswald, Lee Harvey - Gary Oldman in JFK
  5. Bogie, I don't know Open Hearts or An Amazing Couple. In America was originally on my runner-up list. I'm the one person that didn't see My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
  6. Welcome, LiamCasey! I like the shout out for Blade 2. I felt it was better than the first, probably due to director Guillermo Del Toro. And you're dead on about ST: Nemesis. It was terrible. Current star Tom Hardy would probably like to forget that early role.
  7. Swithin, I haven't seen The Magdalene Sisters. I also liked The Hours, Dirty Pretty Things, and Road to Perdition. Glad to see someone else liked 28 Days Later, as well!

  10. Bogie, you saw Ginger Snaps? That doesn't seem like one you would see, for some reason. Is it because it's Canadian?
  11. How, exactly, is George Washington "unsung"? Besides the holiday celebrating his birth, he's on two forms of currency, our capital is named after him, we have a state named after him, the largest monument in the capital, his giant head carved in a mountain, his picture is in every classroom in the nation, there are countless books, films, tv miniseries, etc. So where's the unsung part? Oh, wait. MLK has one day in January. So we needed to complain about it.
  12. The LORD OF THE RINGS films are a monumental achievement, in my opinion. I was never a particular fan of the books, although I read them, and I'm not the biggest fan of high fantasy in general. But Peter Jackson and crew, with those films, managed to create an epic, living, breathing world on a scale unlike anything since the original STAR WARS. There were times in those films that I was close to tears, thinking of the implications that the seamless effects work held. Nothing in the imagination of man, from past to future, would be out of reach to portray on the screen. Of course, most of the time this has led to mindless CGI noise flashing across the screen, but used properly and sparingly, some amazing things have and will be done. But, up to this point, nothing has yet been done with the skill and professionalism as the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy.
  13. Susan Blakely had a small role in THE TOWERING INFERNO with Jennifer Jones.
  14. You're right, Princess! My next clue would have been that he directed the film debut of Mae West! The thread is yours, your Highness...
