  1. I just go by the individual listings as they appeared on past schedules. So like some of the cartoons, these may have just been grouped together under a single entry as a "special" in the past. They have been getting more detailed with their schedules in recent years, which is always a good thing.
  2. Here's my favorite out of that batch, it just didn't seem to have a connection to film or movies. This, like the other, is part of a series of ads by the US Brewer's Foundation which later made it into a commemorative book. I wonder if there was anyone famous among these models. (This is a much larger picture if you just click on it a few times)
  3. Just a heads up to any who follow my TCM US schedule reports. I haven't disappeared. It was time to renew so I went with a better domain name: http://moviecollectoroh.com/ Be sure to update your bookmarks or favorites with this newer link.
  4. As long as it doesn't actually say the word "bomb" on it (as with Wile E. Coyote), I think I'll be alright with it.
  5. I've confirmed that it successfully recorded this time. I will be watching it later on too. Thanks again to alleybj.
  6. At this point nobody knows for sure, but what else is new around here. All I know is I see it in my schedule provider's schedule (similar to what you see on your digital TV/DVR on-screen schedule). This is corroborated by alleybj's independent finding above.
  7. 6am EST. Between "Gilda Live" and "A Man For All Seasons". Strange that it isn't appearing on TCM's own listings.
  8. Hmm, yeah. I'm seeing it via Schedules Direct service, the schedule provider I use for my DVR computer's NextPVR scheduler. I don't remember rescheduling it to record, maybe the recording software did.
  9. Not all musicals are created equal. Just fingernails in the chalkboard musicals. Lydecker gets it.
  10. Welcome back, Clare! Thurs Nov 22 at 8pm
  11. I had a chance to listen to this under better conditions - just so much nonsense edited into the soundtrack for the film. Despite singing Cole Porter, I don't think Kernan sounds as close to Al Bowly or the mystery singer in Sleuth as I would like. I forget, have you considered or ruled out Cliff Edwards yet? Here is a clip which sounds to my ears at least as close or closer in vocal technique to the voice in your clip: https://youtu.be/ltOvsv0Jmtk?t=15
  12. I haven't really been following this thread, so maybe this one has already been posted. 1971/72 RecTrans Discoverer - from Slither (1973). At first thought it might be a George Barris build, but then noticed it wasn't.
  13. So I have to know: Do you "time travel" and mash it up a bit by combining movies with intros by hosts no longer there, and movies with intros by the new hosts, all on the same DVD?
  14. I'm beginning to think they don't even have the opportunity to vet third party assets, as they *may* just be released to air through the various real-time network channels, at time of airing. If that were the case, it would explain things a bit such as unusual aspect ratios, foreign releases, unplayed silents at the last minute due to no musical score, etc.
  15. Yes. There are some real luddites here, in addition to some fake ones.
  16. That is why I essentially just use a database and a schedule.
  17. Thanks JeanneCrain for saying something about this, I hadn't gotten around to discovering it missing yet. Oh well, another premiere/rarity goes up in smoke.
  18. My first post on here was to start a thread and ask if Just Imagine (1930) had ever been played on TCM. I was answered by FredCDobbs. Don't remember what other threads I started if anything.
  19. There is a greater chance that those who do receive it will continue to contribute to this thread. In other words, there is a greater chance that at least one person who receives it will post it here, instead of everyone receiving it and on time. So as long as this thread continues...
  20. Among other versions, IMDB says this: (original title) La momia azteca contra el robot humano USA (dubbed version) The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy World-wide (English title) The Aztec Mummy Against the Humanoid Robot I see a problem with this already. Full stop. edit: This won't be much help, but I checked and have the Sep 2015 airing, which was the dubbed version (actual talking, not just schedule title). As per my list, only a few others to rule out: 2009-11, 2010-06, 2016-10
  21. It looks like they slipped Cat From Outer Space into that block since my last update. In addition to those already on my list in the posts above, I'm going to call that a premiere. edit: Looks like they inserted it into tonight's schedule (oct 15/16) just on the 11th.
  22. Informative find. Yup, that about summarizes it. The poster gets the message out in 2002, to us in 2018, and without mincing words. I think I can deal with that.
  23. Pending congrats... I know you have been trying to resolve this for a long time.
