  1. On this day in 1919 Lex Barker came into the world. Here are 5 things you may not have known about our beloved Tarzan. 1. He was from a prominent New York family, who disowned him when he decided to become an actor. 2. His fifth wife, Carmen Cervera, is a former Miss Spain. 3. He rose to the rank of major during WWII. 4. He briefly considered become a singer. 5. He is a direct descendant of the founder of Rhode Island. Brenda
  2. Unfortunately everyone's definition of classic is different. We stock everything up through 1979, with some select modern documentaries, but even those focus on Classic Hollywood. I'm a little amused when I go to the local library and see their "classics" section with things released as recently as 5 years ago. To each their own I guess. Brenda
  3. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! We've gotten most of these added, but are still working on a few. The list is up to 35 screen teams and close to 200 movies now! Any other suggestions? Brenda
  4. So instead of doing 1 actor or actress for our February Featured Player we are focusing on screen teams. We have already put movies with these famous duos on sale, but does anyone have any additions they would like to see? Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers Errol Flynn & Olivia de Havilland Katharine Hepburn & Cary Grant William Powell & Myrna Loy Jeannette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy Judy Garland & Mickey Rooney Bing Crosby & Bob Hope Bogart & Bacall Laurel & Hardy Spencer Tracy & Katharine Hepburn Greer Garson & Walter Pidgeon John Wayne & Maureen O’Hara Abbott & Costello Martin & Lewis Doris Day & Rock Hudson Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau Brenda
