  1. There are at least 2 sets of husbands and wives who worked together on long-running American TV comedy series who divorced shortly after the end of the series they worked on. Name the 2 sets of spouses and the TV series they worked on.

  9. There are 5 Saturdays this June so that means 5 Max Fleischer Popeye cartoons! "Protek The Weakerest" on June 1 "Fowl Play" on June 8 "Let's Celebrake" on June 15 (featuring Olive Oyl's grandma) "Learn Polikeness" on June 22 "The House Builder-Upper" on June 29 All these shorts from 1937 and 1938 are so good --- filled with music, wonderful sight gags and sotto voce remarks by Jack Mercer and Mae Questel. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if pressed I would pick "Learn Polikeness," where Olive forces Popeye to attend Professor Bluteau's School of Etiquette ("for a little dough you can be well bred" ).
  10. "I Can't Be Bothered Now" from Damsel In Distress, music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin (The song was also incorporated into the stage musical Crazy For You.)
  11. "Georgy Girl" from Georgy Girl next: song used to cast a spell
  12. "Shallow" from A Star Is Born next: song sung by celestial being in a movie
  13. Yes! Tootsie was the movie I had in mind. Dustin Hoffman's "That's a corn cob" reaction to Jessica Lange cracks me up. Good job, lavenderblue! It's your turn.
  14. Rattled when a visiting co-worker leans in to kiss her, a woman picks up a corn cob instead of the phone when it rings.
  15. Here's the first full-length trailer for the upcoming Fosse/Verdon series:
  16. It sounds like Midnight Mary starring Loretta Young.
  17. Olivia Colman's Best Actress acceptance speech was the best moment of the awards and one of the best Oscar acceptance speeches ever (possibly the best).
  18. Here's the latest teaser for the Fosse/Verdon series that aired during the Oscar awards:
