  1. Sunday, October 9th--All times E.S.T.;

    7:36 a.m. "Plane Nuts" (1933)--Early Three Stooges short film.

    8:00 a.m. "No Orchids for Miss Blandish" (1948)--Notorious British Noir received comments like these from British papers/magazines; 'As fragrant as a cesspool" (Daily Mirror) and "The most sickening exhiibition of brutality, perversion, sex, and sadism ever to be shown on a cinema screen" (Monthly Film Bulletin).  The film made a mint.  The execution is...somewhere between good and hilariously bad, depending on which review you read.  TCM webpage has a nice long article on the film.

  2. Lawrence--I'll have to be more specific in the future LOL.

    The films I wanted were 1963's "The Haunting", with Julie Harris and Russ Tamblyn.  The 1999 remake starred Catherine Zeta-Jones and Liam Neeson.

    13 Ghosts (1960) Starred Martin Milner and RoseMary DeKamp.  The 2001 remake starred  Tony Shalhoub and Embeth Davidtz.

    Your Thread, Lawrence :)  :)

  3. These two horror film classics suffered dreadful remakes more than thirty years after their original release.  The remakes were released just two years apart.  Please name the films, and two stars of the originals and remakes.

    9:45 p.m. "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1920)--German Expressionist horror film--last time I saw it, film was reconstructed from Seven different prints.

    1:00 a.m. "The Phantom of the Opera" (1925)--The performance of Lon Chaney Sr. and the unmasking scene make it Worth the watch.
