  1. Ringu-Yes, Jennifer Jones. :-) Ham-Those pictures are great! I had seen a bio-pic that said some photographer for a newspaper replaced a rose Bonnie had in her mouth with that cigar. Rumor? I wonder. If not, she sure was ahead of her time, because from what I hear it's chic for a woman to don a stogie these days. lol Another easy one for all of you, grrrrrrrrr. lol
  2. > {quote:title=FredCDobbs wrote:}{quote} > I swear that guy looks just like Clyde Barrow. Are you sure you aren't related to him? No, but they ran in the same circles. Just kidding! lol This one not a relative and so very easy. :-)
  3. Hi, Deer Park Mama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXjRfs7oOG4
  4. Yeah, or Bonnie and Clyde, Ann Harding and Darren McGavin. lol I'm really sorry for messin' around, and though you guys may not get a kick our of it, I sure did. lol And my mom would be in her glory if she knew her photo appeared on TCM's message board. She's the one who gave me my love of the old movie classics, and then some. lol If I am cast off or banned now, I can take comfort in that for a moment she had a moment she'd never dreamed possible. :-)
  5. Okay, before you read any further, promise me you won't get mad and run me off the boards? lol The lady is Anne, my mom, the man with her, George, my dad, and the guy with the ciggie is Johnny, my uncle. lol I'm sorry. I just wanted to mess with your heads because you guys keep guessing my celebs two seconds after I post them. lol Hate me? Getting ready to tar and feather me and report me? :-) I know I'm off subject, in a round about kind of way, but I started this thread and don't have a problem with going off subject a bit. lol
  6. Nope! Not Harding or McGavin. I didn't see it until you said it, she does look like Ann Harding when Ann was young. Hee, hee, hee! lol
  7. Yeah, too easy. Teresa Wright. Okay, the guys with the cigarette in the first one, and the girl in the back seat with the guy with his arm around her. Message was edited by: georgiegirl
  8. I watched it and thought it was great. I see awards for both Drew and Jessica. If not for both, Drew. I saw the doc years ago, and I'm sorry I missed it last night. I had no idea they were showing it. I usually don't appreciate a movie spun from a doc, but not in this case. I am not disappointed at all. Emmys all around is my prediction. :-)
  9. This one is way too easy after the ones that just preceded it, but at least your brain won't explode trying to get it, but I'll be back with one that'll really stump you. It is now my quest! lol Message was edited by: georgiegirl
  10. Wow, that was a lot to do to come up with the names, but it worked! lol My hat's off to you!
  11. > {quote:title=MGMMayer wrote:}{quote} > That sounds like the old burlesque routine where a guy hears "Niagara Falls", relives the incident and starts beating the heck out of the innocent person who is listening to the story.... > > Robert Osborne's lucky that Mickey didn't start wailing on him with a seat cushion! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! lol You cracked me up! lol Mark, Dobbs, that was an exciting moment, but I don't know if RO would be willing to face him again. Nah, he would. lol Moments like that make good TV and burns that kind of memory into your brain about a super star! lol If anyone would like to hear my personal encounter with the scarey MR, PM me. lol Message was edited by: georgiegirl
  12. I haven't a clue for either, but that baby is so very very cute, and that girl is a flawless beauty! Well, as long as I'm here again, I might as well take a shot at it... Mickey Rooney and Joan Bennett? lol
  13. I was saving Ethel for later! lol I knew once I saw that pic posted, I should have cut out Mom, too! lol I just watched Grey Gardens . I've seen the original doc, and I don't usually like movies after seeing the doc, but I gotta say, Drew and Jessica did a superb job. They had me right from the start. I see awards in their future for this film.
  14. From what I saw, Mickey was talking about a producer who called him on an issue while shooting a movie. The name of either escapes me. Mickey got embarrassed and, I'd venture to guess by his expression and body language, mad when the producer chastised in front of everyone on the set. While telling the story, Mickey, or so it appeared to me, was reliving the moment. lol With the most evil of looks, on that once upon a time cherub face, he moved to the edge of his seat grimacing and with a dead stare at Bob, who looked like a deer caught in headlights at this point, continued his story of how he grabbed the producer by the lapels and put him in his place, in no uncertain terms, before he walked off the set. Oh, Bob's questions to him was, how did the rumor start that he was hard to work with. lol Bob looked liked he was made of stone by the time Mickey went into his full rant. lol It was not pretty. I can feel for Bob and why he got scared. lol
  15. Drat! I thought Ginger but dismissed it! lol Oh, they're perfoming brothers. Message was edited by: georgiegirl because I forgot to say who we're looking for of the three! Duh!
  16. > {quote:title=MarianStarrett wrote:}{quote} > georgiegirl, > For some reason I seem to have missed your photo of Barbara Stanwyck earlier, it's a gorgeous photo! So glad you could post it here. Marian, I knew who I was looking at when I found that photo and didn't see her, hard as I looked at it. Very unusual photo of her; at least I thought so. She looks quite beautiful and very exotic.
  17. > {quote:title=musicalnovelty wrote:}{quote} >Once was definitely enough! Yes, I think so too. lol
  18. lol Good photo! That about sums up the movie. It was very strange. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion, yet I couldn't turn away. It was disturbing in parts, but I stuck with it to the end. Odd. If my memory serves, Tim Carey played Amarilla Slim in a beach party movie. Who knew the guy, who gave me the creeps as a kid watching that movie, would thumb his nose at the industry and start an independent film making trend, and use Zappa to score his movie? Genius? Camp? I just don't know. I have to think on it some more. lol
  19. Okay, I just watched this movie for the first time, and could someone please explain what it was all about? I was going to turn to another channel so many times but the movie held me and I have no idea why. lol And just when I thought, yeah, I got it, I lost it. lol And the end, what the hell? What did I miss? lol I'm a meat and potatoes kinda film lover, and I need some help understanding why this film is given such merit. There were times the audio was so bad I had to crank up the volume only to be blown out of my chair the next minute, and the screen went black a few times. lol I did a search to see if this was discussed before on the forums, and I even did an 'in quotes' search as advised and nada, so here I am. :-)
  20. I think the clothes are too old fashion to be her but...Teresa Wright? lol
  21. You're welcome. I'm glad I could give YOU a photo you haven't seen and that gives you joy. You've given me so many! I'm sure you still haven't come back down to earth and can't say I blame you. :-)
  22. Hey, thanks! :-) Hmm, Spencer Tracy, or is it a girl? lol
