  1. Testing, testing. 1-2-3. If I'm not back in two seconds with another post, I give up! lol
  2. This is really weird! I can post here, one shot. If I'm lucky. I managed to get on the other thread about faces, but then wham, no go anywhere after that. No refresh, no reply, and I'm so excited I have a PM and it took me all night to get to it. lol Okay, I'm going over the wall! Look out beloooooooooooooow! Anyone spills their guts to the coppers that I'm crashing da other tread, and it's the mark of the squealer, ya' dirty rat!
  3. Redriver-I'm trying this again. I hope you and your others got in, now it's my turn to see if just little old me can do the same, that is if all of you got in. :-) Kid-Sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you, but I should have known my attempt at humor does hurt most of the time, and not in a good way. ;-) Okay, here I go! My palms are sweating, my heart racing! Will it, won't it take on the first try? And if I can make it here, can I make it anywhere else? It's up to you TCM, TCM Here goessssssssssssssssssssssss...
  4. If this posts, I'm still on lock down! Let me outta here ya' dirty screws! Why I oughta! lol If I had the wings of an angel, over these broken TCM walls I would fly. Straight to the arms of me mudder (whose face is on anthter thread), and there I would stay til I die. :-) I can't even get the reply page to come up on the Whose Face as I can on this thread, which doesn't always post even if I do, but if you read here, can you go there and tell them yes, the last photo I posted is Ruth Etting! lol
  5. Maybe this lady is too far off the beaten path, but I'll age her and see what happens. :-)
  6. I got to post and posted in the wrong thread. But while I'm here, I'm still having trouble. I bet the moderators are happy; finally peace and quiet. lol C'mon, let's face it, we can be a handful at times. :-) Message was edited by: georgiegirl
  7. I can't seem to reply to any threads. So doing a test. Weird, I logged in but it says I'm not and yet, if you're reading this, I can post a new thread. Hey, waz up?! lol :-)
  8. I watched an episode tonight and found it very entertaining, a bit scary though. I missed the first five minutes. Where did we go? lol I wonder why only horses survive in NYC. No dogs, cats, birdies, RATS?! I bet the hawks would thrive. :-)
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't there a time when TCM played the birthday celeb's movies all day and well into the wee hours of the morning? Or is my old brain completely shot?
  10. Hello. I think you're in the right place for a discussion such as this, but you can also go to Films and Filmmakers too. I can't help you. I haven't seen Giant in a very long time and it was not one of my favorite movies where I've seen it over and over again. I just liked looking at James Dean. lol Hang in there. I'm sure someone will be along who can discuss it's flaws and attributes with you. :-)
  11. No and no. lol 3.) The only thing more gorgeous than her looks was her voice. Message was edited by: georgiegirl
  12. Good guess! And I gather it came from the clue. lol But, nuh uh, not Una O. 2.) As hard as a man tried to get her to love him, she tried just as hard not to. ;-)
  13. I think the TV Guide look is a perfect cover for the subject matter. I had such a fondest for TV Guide . I use to collect them back in the 60s. It was one of my resourses for old movies, plus, if I remember correctly, I used to call their research department when I was stumped and they were always helpful and very nice. It was either them or the Daily News . lol I think back now, it must have been like Desk Set for those workers.
  14. Yes, it's Terry Moore. Okay, wisenheimers, see what you can do with this one. I'll give you clues as we go along. 1) Torch carrying villagers did not seek her out in movies to do her harm. ;-)
  15. We're looking for the name of the man this time out. :-)
  16. I don't know who the person is on the forum, but good luck with your sales. I really like the cover. It looks like a TV Guide, if that's what you were looking for. lol
  17. Doh! There's also Twelve Oaks! The house of Frankenstein and Green Gables.
  18. There's isn't anything about that movie that displeases me. It's all good! And it's one of my favorites of many. I read the book, too, and the movie was as riveting, if not more so, and one of the few movies that did not let me down after reading the book, which is very rare, as far as my experiences go. :-)
  19. A tad too thin. lol Not only a beautiful spot, a beautiful and handsome cast, as well. :-)
  20. It's a shame what happened to that family. First Chris then his wife. Too bad his son doesn't get to have it. But then again, maybe it's too harsh a reminder his dad really wasn't Superman but mortal and fragile like the rest of us.
  21. Do you mean camp as in summer camp type of thing? I looked it up online, surprised I remembered the name right, and it states it's the name of the couple's matrimonial home, whatever that means. lol http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/set/7178/films/leave.html
  22. Fairfield in Jane Eyre and The Enchanted Cottage and there's the house in Random Harvest . If I remember right, the name of the house in Leave Her to Heaven was Back of the Moon.
