No, actually, my sister, Charlotte, is the funny one of the sisters. lol I was the pest! lol Aw, no salt mines for you. We all get stars confused. C'mon, we're human not machines! :-) Mr. Dobbs- Humor? Okay, to **** hell with humor! We have no humor. In fact, we don't need humor. I don't have to show you any stinking humor, you **** cabr?n and ching' tu madre! Come out from that sh**-hole of yours. I have to not laugh at you." :-) Message was edited by: georgiegirl -
Kid-Ha! lol MARK! I envy you working at the Drive Ins! You should write a book. With your stories and love of movies, well... What fond memories I have of them, both as a little kid and a young woman. I guess it just wouldn't pay to bring them back again, but it sure would be fun to sit at one, one last time for old times sake. I can't think where I've had a better hot dog or cheeseburger. lol That's the thing. I doubt millions and millions of people were that into drugs, so it kinda slights the rest of us who did experience the whole scene but on a lesser scale. lol

Mitzi Gaynor? Where do you guys get your pics? I have one source I use and they have very few of the earlier years. I get photos that look unlike the usual shots of the stars. Maybe a different angle than the norm, profile, lighting, shadows, whatever, but nothing like most of the others here post. :-( lol -
Oh, gee, folks are going to think I posted this to garner attention, and my hand to God, as my mom would say, I didn't! lol But if my head gets any bigger I'll have a hard time getting through the doorway from my living room to my kitchen and they're double wide openings! lol

Wow, you decided to end this quick! One clue and wham! lol I hope someone has another because I was settled in to play this out and I don't have one and they get mine so quick! DALE 'FREAKIN' EVANS! Yeah, I can see it now but I wouldn't have thought of her in a million guesses! Wait! Did Kid Dabb play his/hers? A mind is a terrible thing to waste and mine has been wasted too many times. Ha! -
First off, holy smoke! That is some flooding! Glad you're doing well through it all. Okay, it's official, I'm the oldest one on this board! :-( I remember both shows! lol Ooh, maybe they were in syndication when I came along. :-)

Fred, it's up to you how long you want to wait before you divulge the answer. No rules here, but before you do decide to tell us, if no one guesses it first, you have to give us two clues, one at a time. That's the only kinda rule we've come up with. :-) -

> {quote:title=FredCDobbs wrote:}{quote} > Am I to remove my photo again? Am I to be an outcast among all the nations of the earth? Absolutely not! I just didn't want to bypass Cassablanca's and make her feel left out. lol My guess for your photo is Anne Baxter? lol Message was edited by: georgiegirl -

Oh, we have a word for people like you, skutch! Rhymes with Butch and means a son-of-a-gun. I was one, too, and did the same thing. Slipped in a family photo earlier in the games when everyone kept guessing them quicker than I could post them. lol What a cutie you were. So, my guess was Gene Tierney. Did you grow up to look like her? If so, c'mer, I want to scratch your eyes out. lol -
I am such a goose! I copy pasted that url and went to see what was found with georgie girl fund. lol What a knucklehead I am. lol I agree, it's all about Karma, and mine is good now. lol Oh, and I don't take the non-responses as a negative. It is what it is and I'm cool with it. If I was wrong or right it'll become obvious and I'll stay on the course I was on and roll with the punches, or maybe they were love taps. Guess I'll never know, or only time will tell. lol Message was edited by: georgiegirl

Hey, I used that exact avatar for CEBandello back in early April when I saw his testimony (or whatever it was they call it) to the gangster. The one where he mentions his dad. Anyway, I even told him I'm the lady on the far left, row six, aisle seat. lol I think that is the best applaud avatar there is out there. If there is better I haven't found it yet. I find so many people here funny. I'm cracking up all the time, but in a good way-- I think! There's enough comedic talent on this message board to have open mic night. ;-) Uh, oh. We're off topic! Yikes! Sorry, OP! lol -

Ann Baxter? But what about Cassablancalover's photo? I guessed Gene Tierney. lol And I'll take that puppy! :-) Message was edited by: georgiegirl -
Oh, I'm not going anywhere for those who thought I was, and thank you for your kind sentiments. :-) I posted this for one reason and one reason only, my own clarification of something, and I realized not all would understand it. Let me make this perfectly clear again. *I AM NOT calling anyone out in a public forum* and *specified* I was not looking for a response from them on this thread. I was re-reaching out to them here in a last ditch attempt. So I guess I should forget about getting to the bottom of this. Knowing what I know now, I have no way of knowing if these folk did or didn't get my PMs and I'll not PM them again to confirm, so... Oh well and so be it. I like it here. I like a lot of the people here, and I love old movies. This is my kinda neighborhood and I'm sticking with it! :-)

Ha! lol -
I'm not trying to start trouble, just curious and want to set the record straight, if for no one else other than myself. For those of you who addressed me on the board, and whom I chose to respond privately in a PM, am I too assume, by your lack of response, that amends were not made and I was correct in my assumption that I am not welcome here by you and should not make any further endeavours to make those amends? I did not readdress the non-responsiveness in another PM to you in fear you'd take that as harassment. I am not asking for a reply on this thread, just confirming my not hearing from you is an affirmation of my assumption. Message was edited by: georgiegirl because to is not too and I know that! Really! lol

Grrrr! I was there and remember it and I was no goody-two-shoes, so I really don't know what they're talking about when they say that. lol And I adored Drive-Ins! I wish they'd bring them back, but alas and alack. :-(

Hey, I saw on another post your name is Charlotte. Are you my big sister in disguise? Wouldn't that be a hoot! My oldest sister's name is Charlotte and you really don't hear that name much and I've heard millions of names over the course of my career. lol Anyway, it was Mildred Natwick in The Quiet Man who played the Widow Sarah Tellane. Easy to get the two ladies confused. They are very similar in statue, never mind their first names are the same. :-) -

My gut instinct tells me she grew up to be famous in the 50s, maybe even late 60-70s, but I'm going to guess Gene Tierney. lol -

Clore-Yeah, that was it! She was vile in that, in a good way. lol Terrence-Yes, one look by a great actor can say more than a page full of dialogue. -
> {quote:title=WhyaDuck wrote:}{quote} > The saying " They don't make movies like that anymore ". ....Well, some movies you don't want made anymore. Such is the case with " The Trip ". It's as exciting as watching paint dry. Ha! lol
