Grew up surrounded by music. My father and mother both played piano; my father had his own band. My mother instilled a love of what is today known as "the great American songbook"....big bands, marvelous singers, and threw in classical as well. My brother became a singer, songwriter, and musical arranger and is still well known among 60's and 70's performers, musicians and composers. My sister and I are Broadway musical fanatics and even while working, we'd see a show (whether they be on or off Broadway) at least once a week including SRO, (ticket prices were a lot cheaper then and we belonged to TDF-- Theatre Development Fund and were able to purchase tickets beneath half price). My biggest regret is not following a career in singing and not learning to tap dance (love that sound). Performed on stage in summer camp and in "SING" in Erasmus Hall. I have great admiration for The ARTS, and all the individuals involved, writers, musicians, dancers, singers, painters, etc. What a precious gift to share.
