star - you're absolutely correct. I really love this film and love James Cagney's dance numbers which indicate a "prelude" to his marvelous performance as George M. Cohan in "Yankee Doodle Dandy". Star - the thread is yours.

Mourning Becomes Electra - Rosalind Russell and Michael Redgrave portray Lavinia and Orin Mannon, brother and sister, in the film adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's play about a father and son returning from battle after the Civil War. Royal Wedding - Fred Astaire and Jane Powell portray Broadway musical stars brother and sister Tom and Ellen Bowen Scarface (1932) Paul Muni and Anne Dvorak portray brother and sister Tony Camonte and Francesca "Cesca" Camonte. The film is loosely based on the career of Al Capone. Here Paul Muni's character is obsessesed with his sister Anne Dvorak.

Thanks, Star One of Hollywood's greatest legends starred in a 1930's movie musical in which he often would go over the dance steps with the one and only Fred Astaire before the dances were filmed. Name the 1930's movie musical and this great Hollywood legend.

Patterns, which was considered a breakthrough for Rod Serling, was originally broadcast live on Kraft Television Theater and due to popular demand was then re-broadcast live on February 9, 1955. The first time such a live television drama was repeated due to its popularity. The second performance was captured in kinescope and is available for viewing at the Paley Center for Media in NYC and in L.A. The original cast of Everett Sloane, Ed Begley and Richard Kiley were in both presentations. However, in the movie version, Van Heflin was cast in the Richard Kiley role. I was a big fan of Playhouse 90 and saw both the original productions of Requiem For A Heavyweight and The Helen Morgan Story. It was such a rarity to have 90 minutes of live TV. They were bringing the theater to the viewing TV audience. It was quite exciting.
