There are not too many surprises in "The Devil's Daughter" (1973)written by Colin Higgins a made for tv horror film obviously inspired by "Rosemary's Baby". Diane( Belinda J  Montgomery) plays a naive young woman who falls into the hands of a Satanic cult after her mother's suicide. Shelly Winters is Lilith who tells Diane she knew her mother in her younger days . Diane moves into Lillith's creepy mansion which feature a life size portrait of Satan hanging over the mantle.  Diane ignores this obvious bit off heavy handed foreshadowing.   Jonathan Frid is as mute chauffeur and a couple of dress  alike sisters who seemed to be lesbians . Joseph Cotten is a a friendly judge and Robert Foxworth is a potential love interest for Diane. Jeannot Szwarc has some atmospheric direction. You can watch it for free in a very nice print on You Tube

Predictable and fun to watch. Shelley Winters and Joseph Cotten play their characters to the hilt, and Jonathan Frid is my favorite in the movie.

    5. "Just the two of them now, the babies have all grown up and moved to Los Angeles, or somewhere."   spoken by a man who received his first Oscar for the role...to an actress who also won for this film

I keep thinking Henry Fonda in On Golden Pond, but I'm not sure.
