Disney also did Victor Hugo's HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, an odd movie that can't decide what it is, though it has one of my favorite Disney songs of all time, "Out There", and some of the most INCREDIBLE artwork. Actually, my brother and I did a fan edit of this movie in which we removed all the gargoyle scenes -- the movie suddenly got waaaay better.
I love this song, too! I'm not terribly fond of this movie either, but like you, I really appreciated the amazing animation.
