  1. Thanks, Miles.  And thanks for the video clips.  I wish that they would bring back the Mickey Mouse Club show.

Next:  This song was originally performed by a famous stage performer in the early 1900s.  This song was also sung by an actress who played the stage performer in a 1930s biopic.  Several years later, this song was briefly sung in another movie (a comedy) by the actor who played the lead role in the 1930s biopic.  It was featured a few more times during the movie.

Name the song, the 2 movies it was featured in, and the 2 actors who sang it.  Bonus points for giving the name of the stage performer who originally sang the song.

  2. I MARRIED A WITCH...became the basis for Bewitched, with Elizabeth Montgomery stepping in for Veronica Lake

I didn't know that Bewitched was based on that movie!  I don't know why I never made the connection before.

  3. Sitting Pretty and its sequels were the basis for the Mr. Belvedere TV show.  Clifton Webb was replaced by Christopher Hewett.

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir was the basis for the TV show of the same name.  Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney were replaced by Edward Mulhare and Hope Lange.

Gidget and its sequels were the basis for the TV show of the same name.  Sandra Dee was replaced by Sally Field.

The Lassie movies were the basis for the Lassie TV show.

Next:  Do you recognize this actress?  She has been in a wide variety of films -- musicals, dramas, comedies, Westerns, etc.  She also appeared on several TV shows.

This photo is from a 1950s film.

  5. Thanks, Karma.

Next:  "It's murder and murders don't come any neater.  As fancy a piece of homicide as anybody ever ran into.  Smart, tricky, almost perfect, but.....I think Papa has it all figured out....figured out and wrapped up in tissue paper with pink ribbons on it."

Name the speaker and the movie.
