During filming, Chaplin went through a very messy and highly publicized divorce. This very embarrassing ordeal severely tainted Chaplin's reputation and delayed production. Chaplin had to deal with several other major problems during production. It was a miracle that the film was ever completed. What is the name of this film? Edited to add: Chaplin's mother died during this time, too.
