Welcome to the boards. It sounds like HOMECOMING-- where Anne Baxter is married to Clark Gable, and while he is overseas he develops a personal relationship with Lana Turner.

I checked that link and although it looks like a good movie, it's not the one I'm looking for. The actors were pretty obscure in the one I'm searching for.

Hi everyone. I am new here but I figured this would be the place to get an answer if it's possible! A long time ago, I saw a movie on TCM but can't remember the title. No, I don't remember the actors either, sorry! It's a black and white movie, set at the end of WWII. A young wife is trying to make a home for her returned soldier and things aren't going well. The maid pushes her around. Her husband goes to meet a friend, a woman he served with, who tells her how to take charge of the annoying maid. She is jealous of the friend but the lady tells her all her husband thought about and talked of during the war was her.

 

Can anyone suggest a movie that fits this description?
