I believe it was in October, 2010. Yes - a series of three movies, I think. Possibly by a latino director although I might be wrong there. Definitely not White Zombie. Much more surreal/experimental.

I saw this film a while back on TCM. It was part of a series. The lead villain was a loa I think, like Baron Samedi. Big hat. He could follow people in their dreams. I think it was black and white and silent but not necessarily pre-50s. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? This is driving me crazy!
