2nd the wave of the British Invasion was late 64 thru 65-66. The third and the last wave of the British Invasion in the 60s starts around 67 - - which would be like David Bowie and The Bee Gees and a lot of other people.

I think the two Capra movies are the best things Coop ever did, along with High Noon and the General Died at Dawn. But this lady's choice are 2 movies where Coop knows how to romance the ladies: Bright Leaf-- the two ladies there are Patricia Neal and Lauren Bacall And Saratoga Trunk opposite Ingrid Bergman. Honorable mention goes to Garden of Evil with Susan Hayward.

Not at all - - I live in the Midwest and I used to read this magazine all the time in the grocery store. Several months ago they had a terrific article about a book written by Judy Garland's assistant. I haven't seen it lately because I've gotten addicted to self checkout.

This Boxed Set is for women who want a creative way to end their marriage-- Is divorce just too mundane? Or you just don't have time for a long estrangement or separation? And who wants to bother with cumbersome legal fees. This box set may be just the thing for you. If you're fast on your feet and can follow instructions, you may find this DVD box set to be just what the doctor ordered. Just get a Tall Cool One, sit back and take instructions from the pros: Warm up with Too Late for Tears starring Lizabeth Scott. Liz will show you how not just to end your marriage, but also how to get rid of those unslightly little relationships that may come up afterwards. This movie definitely will give you a lot of practical tips. Next find out what Shakespeare meant by the best laid schemes of mice and men by studying Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice. Lana does succeed in ending her marriage but unfortunately accidents do happen. Finally, take notes from Barbara Stanwyck. Her approach is perfect except she should have taken more lessons at the gun range. Who would have thought that Steve Douglas knew how to use a gun. So, if you do take the advice of this box set, the caveat emptor is also the Breen Code-- murder and adultery are dangerous routes to take. Notice: the blonde wig and sunglasses are not included.

Hint-- the late Brian Bedford starred in the play for the national tour.
-
Definitely Astaire - - even if I made a mistake, which I would, he would be more gracious about it than Gene Kelly. Next: Who would you rather take a singing lesson with-- Judy Garland or Barbra Streisand?

Arsan-- I'm sure that you're right! In a way George Stevens was responsible for Hollywood's favorite film couple. Isn't it funny how Stevens never got to direct any more movies with Tracy and Hepburn? LOL Arsan, it's your turn--

He's so Good-Looking You Can't Believe He Can Act too!-- Sterling Hayden - - Volume 1 Even though he's a blonde hunk, Hayden proves he can act with the best of them and has been directed by the best of them. ****Asphalt Jungle-- Hayden thrives under John Huston's Direction. It's an unbelievable competitive performance along with heavyweights Sam Jaffe and Louis Calhern. ** The Star- - Stuart Heisler handles him well. Hayden proves to be a justifiable consort for Miss Bette Davis's Star Turn-- he knows how to stand back and make her look good, yet at the same time he's not afraid to jump in there when it's required. *** The Godfather- - in this 70s Coppola classic, Hayden proves he's still got it and that he belongs in this movie alongside Brando. Three great reasons to celebrate "The Most Beautiful Man in the Movies".

This play started as a television drama in Great Britain. It had a British cast in London for the play. Then the British lead actor came to Broadway and recreated his role. Later an American female TV star played the same role in a Revival of the play on Broadway. In the early eighties the play was adapted into a movie which starred a male actor, who was an Oscar winner. We need the name of the vehicle -- which is the same for the play and the movie - - as well as the name of the original actor who created the role, the female TV star who re-created the role on Broadway and the Oscar-winning actor who made the movie. FYI- the male star of the movie did not win the Oscar for this movie.

Hint#2-- This director had an iconic movie with an iconic movie star for every genre in the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Thanx-- that brought back excellent memories. Next: this Canadian brother and sister became very successful in Hollywood. The sister became a famous actress and the brother became an equally famous Studio technical professional. You might say they ruled the roost at a major Hollywood studio. When you identify this brother and sister act, don't forget to also identify the major Hollywood studio. -
Cigar Joe-- My tap dancing is in the style of Gene Kelly with a Twist of Eleanor Powell. I don't recommend doing those Eleanor Powell tap turns after drinking tap beer. LOL

Tiki - - you do have some wonderful memories. I've seen the Beach Boys more than once but I've never seen them with Brian. This summer I'm hoping to catch the Pet Sounds tour. He's just finished Australia and he's in Japan right now. He has a long ways to go before he comes back to the United States, but it's got to be exciting. I have some Brian Wilson composer documentaries. This Don Was documentary that must be something different. Do you recommend that I buy it?

Yes, Azure--La Nuit Américaine My favorite scene in the movie is when she goes into her bathroom, she has all these yellow stickies on the mirror with the French dialogue-- definitions and pronunciations ect- - so she can remember how to speak it correctly. And that's how she was learning and it looks like she was nervous and anxious about it. I remember that so well because after that movie I did the same thing for French vocabulary--except I also put the stickies on the refrigerator door. Azure-- you're just about always right! And it's your turn--

Jean Marais -
LP-- that wouldn't be fair because she wasn't the starring greatest singer in that movie!
-
Any film in the 1950s or 60s starring Sidney Poitier, where he was allowed to play a human being and not just a black stereotype.

Azure-- it's still your turn.
