  1. Wow, everybody was in the thoroughs of the Vietnam War. But, I guess you didn't have any older brothers, relatives or friends who were directly affected by it. Yeah, America was just about as divided then, as it is right now.
  2. Oh, come on now if you saw the shoot tell us about it. ☺️ How did it come about for you and was Richard Anderson's toupee' on straight?
  3. These shows were high camp and hilarious for young people back in the day. I don't know who took them seriously. But my favorite one was the young mother who drowned her baby because she had smoked one marijuana cigarette too many. Never compare these extreme politically right wing versions of "Dragnet" with the original show.
  4. Spellbound Next: Another complex role for Ingrid Bergman
  5. Larry Haines Next: A veteran of "As the World Turns" I saw him in a Broadway show and I couldn't wait to tell my Mom. She had watched him on TV for years.
  6. Ann Codee was in "Arise, My Love" with Esther Dale.
  7. Hint#2--The wife was nominated for the Tony Award. While the husband was nominated several times for the Oscar and actually won, more than once.
  8. The first time I ever saw her was in "Five Easy Pieces". This movie had my favorite scene from the Vietnam Era--where Jack Nicholson tells the waitress what to do with the chicken. The only movie line that can compete with that one was Jon Voight telling Dustin Hoffman that John Wayne was not a f** in "Midnight Cowboy". The "Godfather" movies may have been the greatest films of that era. But those two films were my favorites. Unfortunately, Karen Black never got as much good publicity or good film roles as Faye Dunaway, Diane Keaton or Jane Fonda. Faye and Diane got in with the top directors and Jane was Henry Fonda's daughter.
  9. 2992. "The Day the Earth Stood Still" was among the first season of films to be broadcast on "Saturday Night at the Movies" on NBC. This program opened up to us new opportunities to see films, most of which had not been released previously to local TV affiliates.
  10. Lav, you been on a roll lately--You've done a lot of good work. If you're sure you don't want it,I'll soldier on. Thanks
  11. Dreamboat Next: Norman Foster Laura Hope Crews Robert Benchley
