This child actor received a special Juvenile Oscar for 2 films

The films were totally diffetent. One was a family drama, the other was a noir. Who was the actor and what were the 2 films ??

Funny how this name just came to me because he's not on my radar or at the top of my mind.

But I know this sad story too well. Bobby Driscoll was an extremely talented youthful actor who had a very sad end.

He received a Juvenile Oscar for two different movies--"So Dear To My Heart"and "The Window".

The way #8 is worded is confusing.  It would appear that you're looking for a publishing company executive with a famous actress daughter.  I think you are looking for the daughter and I think it's Joanne Woodward, who was married to Paul Newman.  According to Wikipedia, her father was Wade Woodward, a vice president of Charles Scribner & Sons.

I think you're right and it is Joanne Woodward.

    5.  The Beatles - George Martin, their record producer

    6.  Eleanor Powell - John Bubbles

    8.  Katherine Hepburn - George Cukor

    10.  Tony Bennett - Mitch Miller, the head of Columbia Records

Well, we had 3 people participating this time--Thanks to Lav and Arsan.

Miles, you get the thread with half of the answers correct. And I know you will join me in wishing Tony Bennett a Happy 96th Birthday!

I guess my favorite Yankee announcers were Mel Allen and Red Barber. (Mel Allen is actually mentioned in Damn Yankees.)

Swith, Coming from the Midwest, our colorful announcer was Harry "Holy Cow" Caray. I still can remember summer nights and him announcing for the St Louis Cardinals on the radio. In Chicago he was with Jimmy Piersall and they were announcing for the White Sox. You never knew what Piersall would say--like when you had watched him play ball, you never knew what he would do.

There was something special about that generation of announcers that really put you in the mood for baseball.

The most outrageous color announcer for baseball I remember was Dizzy Dean on TV. They said he'd been a great ball player but none of us kids knew anything about it. But his play-by-play was Pee Wee Reese and we knew about him.
