I gotta give you credit for finding this answer because it was actually in the title of the show and in commercials with the videos.😁 Desi planned the Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse so that they'd only have to present one hour long I Love Lucy bi- monthly in rotation with a drama or a comedy as part of the Playhouse anthology---To give Lucy a little break. The Playhouse anthology was also entertaining with a lot of drama and some comedy. I watched Lucy but my dad liked the dramatic shows. And if you're really interested in the Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse/ Lucy Desi Comedy Hour, you might look up a promotional film that they did for the Westinghouse managerial personnel. Lucy and Desi show them around the lot and discuss what programming he intends to present with their sponsorship. And of course they put in a little comedy as well, with some help from Fred and Ethel. Probably it's kicking around somewhere on the internet, if you want to see it. For years I had it on VHS. It gives you an idea of how brilliant Desi Arnaz was as a businessman. I'm sure you'll really enjoy it!

3) I don't doubt what you got on this one. But I would add one more-- I remember so vividly Irene Ryan saying "Winston's taste good like a cigarette hadda oughta." Lav, I really appreciate you and Miles doing these questions from your own personal experience and background. For boomers like us, It's so much more fun to do it cold, without getting a resource and copying it verbatim. We've lived a long time, but somehow we still have a good memory and good memories. 🤗🤗🤗
