  1. Let's try this one for fun-- Can you identify these showbiz Gary's and a classic film or TV series indicated? X1) He was a popular classic game show host, who also hosted a popular music/variety show. X2) This classic actor was married to a legendary Golden Era movie star actress. They appeared in an Oscar-winning film together. X3) He was first known as a classic TV actor who appeared in a lot of guest spots and was a regular in several series. Then his role in an iconic 60s sci-fi movie put him in the film history books. X4) As a young man, he performed in a quartet singing with his brothers and appeared in classic films and on TV. But he is primarily remembered as the writer of a scathing family memoir. 5) He started out in the late 50s and early 60s acting in teen-geared movies, but ended up on TV as regular on a popular classic Western. While one of his wives was an original cast member of a popular TV classic sitcom, characterized as one of those "bucolic" comedies on CBS in the 60s. X6) This actor was all over the place in classic TV--he was a regular on several series and he appeared in a plethora of TV series as a guest actor. He also hosted several daytime talk shows. Some of his TV chores were occasionally shared with his wife, who was a former Miss America. *They're all named Gary, so be sure to remember to include the last name. 😁
  2. Last Train To Clarksville (The Monkees)
  3. Miles, You are the Walter Cronkite of the threads--thorough and chronologically in place. I first became a fan of Roger's when he was on WB's "The Alaskans" with the beautiful Dorothy Provine. Apparently that was when the marital trouble started between the couple. Miles, It looks like you've done it again. And you know what that means-- You're up next.....
  4. Lav, We can wrap it up there. You did a great job. And I was thinking for #4 of the classic TV stars of Gunsmoke and Mission Impossible. Lav, this thread is yours, if you have the time. Thanks again
  5. Lav, you've already won the thread. But for #4, I had something else in mind. If you want to try for it, you can. As I said I'm looking for two brothers who starred in two extremely successful TV series of different genres. Without being picky that really does exclude Gentle Ben and technically there's only one star of The Andy Griffith Show. So you can make another guess for #4, if you want to. *And #10 is still open as well, if anybody wants to answer it.
  6. Madame Curie, 1943 (radium) Dr Ehrlich's Magic Bullet, 1940 (chemotherapy)
  7. Swith, What an ironic coincidence that this seemingly healthy-looking woman would drop dead like this one day before that Trump deposition. BTW--What is your favorite dish on the menu at that restaurant? And on the day that you saw Ivana, did she have her little dog with her?
