  1. I recently got satellite again and I have to say I have been very disappointed with the showing - or lack of holiday movies. There have been so many wonderful ones made throughout the years and instead of those for the month of December there are war movies and crime films and movies that belong on during Halloween. What a shame that young people don't get a chance to see the classics that I grew up with - Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol, etc. I have been so disappointed in TCM for not showing these great films.

  2. Happy Birthday Bob Hope! I think it's a shame that there weren't some of Bob Hope's movies shown on the day of his birth. This was a man who entertained millions and this is certainly a day that should be observed in his honor. I would love to see the old Road movies with Bob and Bing Crosby.

  3. I agree with you about the fall of AMC. It used to be my favorite channel to watch and I really liked it with hosts Bob Dorian and Nick Clooney introducing the movies. I had posted something on their website and when I went back to check it looks as though that forum is down. Interesting, hmmm?

  4. Where do the Christmas movies get to each year? Every year it seems as though the old movies get less and less airplay. I would love to see the Christmas Carol (with Alistair Sim), The Bishop's Wife, White Christmas, and Holiday Inn. I have satellite and it's sad that the more stations we have, the less quality there is in what to watch.
