Listen, Darling - watched for the first time as it aired on TCM as part of the Judy Garland Star of the Month festival. Much superior film in all ways to Pigskin Parade which aired before it. Great story, great cast, great music.

Thanks Kingrat. As a Canadian, I'm used to both British titles and phrases and American titles and phrases.

Speedy: I read To Kill a Mockingbird in grade 10. In B.C., At least when I was in school, it was a grade 10 book. Everyone in the school read it regardless of who their instructor was.

Anyone know why TCM doesn't seem to show some films
GregoryPeckfan replied to Debra Johnson's topic in General Discussions
Some Came Running airs every now and then. Living in Canada, many movies don't air on TCM Canada but do air on a Canadian channel called Silver Screen Classics such as The Third Man. -
Based upon the big love affair viewers had with Pigskin Parade, TCM has decided to do a festival about sports movies starring people not known for playing sports.

Wait you said it was another group. Drat. Woods is a Stone. I know Jefferson Airplane was in the movie Gimme Shelter which is why I mentioned the group. Let's see. Is the guitarist Ace Freely? Of Kiss? Not sure what the documentary is, though.

Five Fingers is excellent, I agree, Tom. RE: Singin' in the Rain and An American in Paris. It has always been thought that An American in Paris won because people were divided between A Place in the Sun and A Streetcar Named Desire. MGM would later advertise AAIP as: Sitting in the Sun Waiting for a Streetcar.

David Bowie's full name was David Bowie Jones. He used his middle name as his last name to avoid getting confused with Davy Jones of The Monkees.
