I almost forgot ...
1 a.m. Bon Voyage (1944). A short wartime drama by Alfred Hitchcock. I've never seen this one.
I have and I recommend it highly.

That is correct DJ.
I understand that ther ewas an actress who did a lot of bit parts who actually appeared in more of Hitch's British films pre-Hollywood than Leo did, but those are bit parts.

I cannot remember which Natalie Wood movie he was introducing or concluding at the time, but I remember that he said he had gone to interview her once and had all his notes mixed up. Instead off being the big star and brushing him off she took his pages and ordered them and told him how to conduct an organized interview.

Janette MacDonald is married to composer Lew Ayres. They cannot get any work together.
She is hired by herself as an opera singer.
She works for over 2 years performing all over in various shows....
You get the idea.
There are lots of fabulous songs, lots of great sets and like many musicals of the golden age, a lot of sets that would not actually appear on a real stage.
One was a skiing scene if I remember correctly.
Fun movie, but not high on my list of films to see another time. I recorded it with a lot of other Lew Ayres films.
