  1. Which movies channel? Is it one available in Canada?
  2. MCannady1: Glad to hear you enjoyed Dial M For Murder too. Have you seen The American friend? I haven't and Cigarjoe's write-up makes it sound very interesting.
  3. 7) Patrick Swazye sang the song "She's Like the wind."
  4. First time watching this musical on TCM which I recorded by PVR: BROADWAY SERANADE: Janette MacDonald, Lew Ayres, Frank Morgan and people whose faces I recognize but can't remember.
  5. Only in the movies could I see me buying a first edition of a book from a bookshop. I always wanted to own bookshop so I could be surrounded by books. Bad timing in terms of era. I love books, but people often read classics online.
  6. I don't take it as an insult that Madonna likes To Kill a Mockingbird. As for Leonard's opinion of 12 O'clock High over To Kill a Mockingbird, this has to do with favourite over best again. To kill a Mockingbird is an excellent film. However, 12 O'clock High is an exciting film too, and I have to say that I watch it more often that TKAM. My favourite Gregory Peck movie is actually The Guns of Navarone. I have pretty much all of the dialogue memorized and I can quote it with the same timing and inflections as the actors and actresses.
  7. DIAL M FOR MURDER: I decided it was time to watch this movie again. Hitch is my favourite director, Grace Kelly is as always perfect, Ray Milland devious and Bob Commings as the boyfriend. Really, my favourite performance choices could be made up of only Hitchcock performances in Bogie's thread- exactly why I created a separate Hitchcock category in the thread. I can't remember how often I have seen it.
  8. Yes, Spence I knew that Gregory Peck was the first AFI president. Thanks. Spam happens so often that SanFin's thread WE HAVE BEEN VISITED BY THE SPAM FAIRY is a opoulat thread for us to complain about the spam.
  9. Doris Day was in The Glass Bottom Boat with Rod Taylor
  10. Katherine Hepburn fell Burt Lancaster as the Rainmaker.
  11. 3) Patrick Swayze is the male lead of this movie.
  12. That's right, Lawrence. It's your thread.
  13. 5) Robert Stack gave Deanna Durbin her first screen kiss. The studio did not bother to make a big fuss as they wanted her to remain young.
  14. Grease mentions Sandra Dee as a title song; Sandra Dee Next: Bad hair day
  15. Thanks for explaining. I will edit it. Thanks. I am just full of errors tonight.
  16. Hi, there. I have bad typing skills due to one handed typing, and with everyone answering quickly some games and trivia we often answer almost at the same time. Tonight I answered a clue in The First Actor/Actress That Comes to Mind with Who Would you rather Meet type of clue. Paul1992 just answered it as if there was nothing odd. This made me think of a new thread for this forum. Sometimes, the funniest moments in movies and television happen that are not scripted but happen accidently. How about a trivia thread about happy and funny accidents? I'll start: Which actor accidently fell during a tirade in an antiwar comedy that made it into the film and looks like it was scripted? It is a satire.
  17. Robert Alda Next:: Director: Hitchcock or Coppola?
  18. I answered the wrong type of clue in the wrong thread ! Sandalous is Woody Allen
  19. Sorry, I forgot to pick the next person: Glenn Ford
  20. Gary Cooper was in High Noon with Grace Kelly Grace Kelly was in Dial M For Murder with Robert Cummings Robert Cummings was in What a Way to Go with Paul Neman (did Hitch appear in Torn Curtain? It would be as an actor then...oh, well) Next Glenn Ford, which Azure did.
