Regarding the actress, Tom: SHE:
I think you underestimated my literal statement that I could not remember things shortly after they happened.
I COULD NOT REMEBER ANY OF THE CAST MEMBERS AS LISTED IN THE CREDITS AND HAD TO GO BY RECOGNITION.
She looked like Nina Foch.
Don't get me wrong, here.
I loved the effects for its era.
I love to watch movies that are difficult to find.
But as I was watching this film, I became aware of the fact that if I waited until today to write about it, I would not be able to put down any details and being that it was on Youtube rather than on a TV channel and still see the screen.
There are some other things I remember which struck me at the time:
The special effects were quite spectacular as far as the fire was concerned.
But the scene with the iced in 'sabre tooth tiger" looked to me like the head of a puppy dog."
I did enjoy the movie.
I enjoy Plan 9 From Outer Space.
But I don't watch it often.
Consider it a film I saw because Film Lover said it had o be seen to be believed and that is totally correct.
As for the musical bits, I found myself dancing.

And regardless of the hair colour Steve McQueen.

I loved Biography and always watched it. This was back in the day when A&E stood for Arts and Entertainment: time well Spent. Now it is a channel I have on blocked.
I am a big Peter Graves fan and try to see him in everything he was in.
I could listen to him talk all the time.
I refuse to see ANY MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE MOVIE because of what Paramount did to Mr. Phelps.
Paramount made a lot of money off of Peter Graves.
I watch all the old series.
My favourite episode of the old series is The Seal.
Of course, it has a cat in it.
Ironically, it was while watching an episode of Biography about the character of Sherlock Holmes that was scheduled to air anyway that day:
where David Burke who was the first Watson opposite Jeremy Brett played Watson -
I was in University at the time and I had a very funny day -
I remember that day as if it were yesterday and could tell you everything I did that day -
There was a commercial that said:
BIOGRAPHY REMEMBERS JEREMY BRETT WHO DIED YESTERDAY......
I was home alone except for my cat.
I started to cry and scream.
And that horrible woman who lived with him when he died wrote a tell all biography of him that was not sanctioned by his family or friends and told everyone intimate details that were none of our business.
By the way:
BACK TO FUN STUFF:
I am not normally ATTRACTED TO BLONDS but there are the blonds I love:
Peter Graves
Robert Redford
Richard Widmark.

Storm Center?
I've not heard of this film, but it fits the letters given.
-
8) Merle Oberon offered to pay the backing for an Oliver/Leigh movie when no one would pay the financing, but Vivian became ill and the movie was scrapped.
-
Ives, Burl
-
8) This movie has a running time of 116 minutes according to imdb, but a copyright length of 125 minutes.

Quicksand
-
Goldie Hawn
Next:
Richard Chamberlain or Richard Gere

Okay, so by request of Film Lover I watched SHE (1935) which I have described in I Just Watched.
What can I say here?
If we had a favourite performance category for best behind the scenes artist we can't see because it is not documentary I would give this award:
Favouriite impersonation of Ed Wood by someone who likely never met him:
Marion C. Cooper as the director of SHE (1935).

SHE (1935):
SPOILERS!
YET MAYBE NOT SPOILERS AS IN I JUST WATCHED THIS AND IN 20 MINUTES I WILL FORGET THE DETAILS!
.................................................................................................
This movie stars RANDOLPH SCOTT, NIGEL BRUCE, NINA FOCH an has character actors I don't know the names.
The movie is called SHE and yet for the first nine minutes there is no mention of any female even in art form.
It takes 37 minutes to see an actual woman in the film and it is called She!
The movie opens with Bruce and a man we will never see again ever in the film talking about the resemblance between Scott and a painting of John Vincy from 500 years ago who is his ancestor.
Scott must go who knows where to find the secret of the flame in a gold female statue. Why I cannot remember. It eventually becomes an everlong journey of the flame of life, but we do not know this at first.
It takes half the movie before we meet the SHE of SHE which in Nina Foch who is immortal and in love .
This movie cannot decide what genre it is.
Is it adventure?
It is about Christianity and Christ's sacrifice?
Is it a musical with Walk Like an Egyptian dancing during ritual dancing?
Is it a horror film about human sacrifice?
Is it a fantasy like The Wizard of Oz?
It cannot decide.
This is truly a so bad it is good ala Plan 9 From Outerspace.
This also seemed at sometimes to be an episode of Star Trek The Original Series.
And why is it that Nigel Bruce always seem to be playing an imbecile who writes things down?
Many thanks to film lover for recommending this movie.
The film ends as love conquers all but not immortality.
A much better movie to watch would be A Matter of life and Death with David Niven if you want a movie about the sacrifice of love that is excellent.
However, if you want to be totally confused and enjoy a satisfaction of being able to say;
Yes! 've seen that Marion C. Cooper movie!
Then this is the movie for you!

Probably a once is enough movie.

I agree with you Star.
My grandmother started to get the disease when she was 85. Unfortunately, she lived to be 94.
Sorry to hear about your Mom.

Two character actors I admire and enjoy in everything they do I get mixed up a lot because they look alike:
Dan Dyrea and Paul Kelly.

Oh, that is tragic. As much as I adore Sean Connery as Bond, I want Connery to die as soon as possible if that is true.
I remember when I heard that Peter Falk died I was first upset, and then I found out about his disease and I was happy.
Whenever Ronald Reagan was alive, every year on his birthday shows like Entertainment Tonight would say Happy _Birthday to Ronald Reagan.
And I would answer back o the screen:
It is not a happy birthday. It is a sad birthday.

It's My Darling Greg!

Thanks, Limey for the further information on Barbarella.
I'll keep that in mind the next time the movie is on the schedule.
I know that Fonda did not originally want to do Cat Ballou and that Vadim convinced her it would be a good film for her.
As for the acting ability of Terrance Stamp, I have to say I love his first film: Billy Bud. I love everyone in the cast. I can't find a flaw in the movie - not that I am looking for flaws. But acting debuts rarely show a long promising career the way Angela Lansbury's did.

This is my favourite Glenn Ford film. I think I've seen it 200 times.

Oh, I hope you are right, Azure.
It would make sense that I could Not come up with it if you were right and I was wrong.
I am convinced that this is a movie I haven't seen.
The last clue was the most illuminating clue besides the genre.

I've never seen The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
It has been long on my to-see list.
The Best Ensemble category for us does not really have a set of rules to it as far you asked, Swithin, although it is the name that SAG gives to its equivalent of the Best Picture.
The Best Ensemble as I chose it for 1935 does indeed have two leads that dominate the story. Astaire and Rogers are the stars of Top Hat, despite me being silly and including the feather dress as a cast member in my explanation of why I chose Top Hat over my other top 5 choices.
The way I see my options for Best Ensemble is where everyone in the cast - whether lead, supporting or bit part like the officer who arrests Eric Blore's character after he tells him off in English - is memorable.
I chose also to not pick The 39 Steps and have created a separate Hitchcock category because as Hitch is my favourite director of all time, I could simply have all my entries be Hitchcock once we get to Hitch's golden age.
I suppose if I wanted to pick Best Ensemble based on there being no clear leads of the films I'd seen it would have been David Copperfield. But that was not how I made my choice.

It's been a few years since I've seen it but if it is the two women it could be Clash by Night.
Sorry, but it is the best I could come up with right now.
