  1. No, you`re not daft. I was just being silly when I made that post all those years ago on yahoogroups about Huckleberry Hound and I brought it up because Lawrence mentioned spilling soda as the cause of the shutdown of The TCM website yesterday and my joke to that woman on that other site made her laugh and spill coffee all over her keyboard and she wanted me to pay for a replacement. I noticed while I watching Return of the Badmen earlier today on TCM that there were some reception problems. I don`t know if that originated on TCM`s end or mine.
  2. However, when it comes to *recordings* of the songs Sinatra did, rather than the songs themselves, my favourite song is the duet he did with his daughter Nancy: `Something Stupid. It is not a song I would want to sing by itself. But the song sung by father and daughter is endearing.
  3. Okay, well, this is rather difficult for me Spence as Sinatra is my favourite singer of all time, male or female. There is not a single solitary song or recording of Sinatra`s I don`t love, including songs he recorded several times in his career. I always have at least one Sinatra cd in my 5 cd Stereo at all times. Between records, cds,, and movies, I have well over 100 albums or movie musicals and cassette tapes of Sinatra music. I knew that Tony Bennett was his favourite singer, and Tony Bennett takes that compliment very seriously and considers that when deciding what songs to record and with whom he should sing duets. You see, I do not have a single `favourite` song by Frank Sinatra. I could not even give you a top ten. I *might* be able to give you a top 100.
  4. Re: it being Robert Ryan day, I have been watching his films - westerns during the daytime. I saw Return of the Bad Men (seen before), recorded The Best of the Bad men to watch later and instead of watching The naked Spur which I`ve seen before as it aired I instead watched the What`s My line episodes that were kindly posted in Robert Ryan Rules.
  5. These are brand new to me, CG. I love Ryan in everything, so thanks for the links.
  6. I totally agree, Limey. If TCM brass reads these boards, I hope they read this post you just made.
  7. Spirited Away is my favourite Anime movie of all time so far.
  8. I'm in the middle of a Robert Ryan marathon on TCM. Because I have not seen The Best of The Bad Men before, I recorded it for later. But I`ve been watching TCM since 10:30am my time mostly. And I have seen The Naked Spur on next, so I will likely watch that as it airs too.
  9. I have not seen Children of Paradise, or Rome, Open City. By the way - #11 of my list is They Were Expendable - Robert Montgomery's first foray into directing when Ford got sick.
  10. Yes. But still, the compliment on how well spoken he is still stands.
  11. It is my FAVORITE Robert Young movie. I love it. Women love romance more than sex films, in general. This is one of the most beautiful films ever made. Dorothy is terribly plain. Men don't look at her. She knows this. She starts working at the Enchanted Cottage where she meets two new people planning on a Honeymoon there. The man is Robert Young. Dorothy falls in love with him talking to him. Young is going to get married, but the war starts. The couple decide to wait until after the war. Robert Young is in a terrible combat injury that leaves him disfigured and disabled. He comes back to the cottage - unmarried - and tries to kill himself. Dorothy comes into the room before he can do it.

  13. Google is not a registered site no. But if you search the words "shirtless Dana Andrews" the site my search engine goes to is one that gives examples of photos - Not Dana, by the way - - of actors without a stich on at the beach. \Then it says if you want to see more pictures, you have to register to use that site. Perhaps I'm just googling the wrong site?
  14. Yes I'd love to see Dana in or out clothes myself....
  15. Those were great wraparounds. I love how Corman was talking about how he hung around with real Hells Angels for TH WILD ANGELS and tried LSD (nevr done it myself and I never would) for The Trip. Also, that he did not realize until he was just watching hem that in both movies, the last image is of Peter Fonda by himself. edit: I've been told I was in dreamland and wrote down the wrong tile.
  16. I've seen Woodstock, Sepiatone, thanks as well as the documentary Gimme shelter. These were just two films I had not yet seen before. That's all. I'm not actually into biker movies. But - I AM into watching movies starring people whose parents are my favourite actors and Peter Fonda fits into this category as does Nancy Sinatra.
  17. No. Boxing trucks only - from the Champ if necessary - otherwise, no....
