I can't remember if I have seen Command Decision or not. I likely have not. As a fan of Gable and Pidgeon and Johnson, I am surprised it has missed me. It is funny, Mr. Roberts, how being associated with a particular genre makes some people have to think a bit longer to come up with non-titles of a genre. I have never seen Van Johnson as a musical star only and this is coming from a big fan of musical. Johnson had a strong career in a variety of genres. He made a lot of war films, really.

Canadiana-Trivia About Canadians in Movies
GregoryPeckfan replied to GregoryPeckfan's topic in Games and Trivia
He is an author not an actor. He has appeared as himself in interviews. The movie in question is a fantasy. It is based upon the idea of ghosts. Remember, it is about baseball. It is not a classic era movie, although it is the last important role of a classic era actor in a small but integral role. Think of famous baseball players. I'm looking for the name of the author. He lives in British Columbia. -
This is really an odd series they are airing, and full of potential clashes about the subject of these films.

Deleted as it is apparently not to do with movies. Not okay to talk about how movies remind you of anything to do with your life. But you can still read my post as misswonderly decided to quote it, unless she deleted her post too. I am asking her to delete it. Suffice to say, that M is about a child killer and there is sympathetic ending to the remake that is not in the original. I prefer the original ending. And Peter Lorre cannot be beat by David Wayne.

The 1951 version of M, which I've never seen. I love the original. It's odd for me seeing David Wayne as a rotter.

8) Frederic March played Matthew Brady in the movie Inherit the Wind.

This author is well known for writing about his favourite sport of baseball. His most famous novel was made one of the most beloved baseball movies of all time. -
I have finally found the right image that is in colour and a great close up. I think I will stay with this image always like other people who don't change theirs. Thanks everyone!

Gregory Peck: My Favourite Actor of All Time
GregoryPeckfan replied to GregoryPeckfan's topic in Your Favorites
Many thanks to Kidd and Larry and Limey for their thoughts and help on how to find or alter a photo for an avatar. I have finally found a colour avatar that is the right size. I don't think I need to search to change my photo again. Thanks again.- 122 replies

Gregory Peck: My Favourite Actor of All Time
GregoryPeckfan replied to GregoryPeckfan's topic in Your Favorites
Hello, Spence and thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I had heard that Spence was Peck's favourite actor. He was the favourite actor of many of his peers. I've never been to California, although my aunt lives there and it is where my parents et when Mom went to California as a musician. I am not sure when or if I will be doing any more international traveling by plane anymore. I am near the American border between B.C. and Washington State. It is in the same time zone, so if I ever get a lot of money to travel again I'll be sure to check it out.- 122 replies

It`s been a few years since I saw The Scarlett and the Black. I remember enjoying it. You do have to set aside a lot of time.

This then explains why I could not answer this question. Silly singing musical-lover me was looking for a musical. Of course, Tonys are for plays too. -
HITS & MISSES: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow on TCM

I have been recording several today. I am recording the Condemned films overnight that I have not seen already. Re: Laird Craiger: Similar to Raymond Burr, he was typecast as heavies. Unlike Burr, he didn't give up on unhealthy dieting to become slim and instead died. There was no Weight Watchers back then. He did it all himself. -

Has the musical been remade since 1979? -
There is also a genre section that you can find at the bottom of the page when you are on the original forums page - the one on the very left hand side.

I mentioned this, Arturo, because people brought up the Stones on the thread. Some people hate one band but love the other. The 60s is my Mom's era of music. I am the daughter of professional musicians myself and my mother was one of the first female bass players, period. She had a Fender. That is how she met my father and why I have a Canadian mother and a late American father. His claim to fame was writing a song that was recorded by Percy Faith and His Orchestra. Faith is well known to Canadians. I have musicians on both sides of my family for generations, whether they did it for a living or not. I seem to have reached my "like" quota for the day though there is no quota for spammers. I wanted to "like" your post. I have a huge range of interest in music depending upon what mood I'm in. I wish my generation wasn't grunge. I hated grunge. Herman's Hermits song "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" is probably my favourite of any 60's song. It is on an album I had when I was a child.

Top 100 Musicals - Did I Forget Some?

That will be a great time saver for CMR, SansFin. -
Ringo Starr still is popular in my opinion. He and Paul are the only surviving members of The Fab Five.

Top 100 Musicals - Did I Forget Some?
GregoryPeckfan replied to ClassicMovieRankings's topic in General Discussions
If he can find box office information on them, they will be added. If not, then they cannot be included as box office is part of the formula he uses, even though it is smaller than the other two factors. They had to have been released in North America as the box office information is used. As for what musicals you prefer compared to the ever growing list, well, that goes back to the comment about subjective aspects of any ranking system. I had already seen 90% of the movies originally listed and no longer bother trying to count the additions. I was one of the two people who requested this page. I did no bother to list my favourites either as I have done this on individual artist pages. I was one of the people who requested this page. I haven't bothered to mention new totals of what movies I've seen that are listed. -
Gaze in Wonder indeed. Which actor and film is the source of your avatar now, Larry?
