Jake's Classic Movie Stars Pictures, Photos & Images
GregoryPeckfan replied to JakeHolman's topic in Your Favorites
Ford would stop by the set of The Alamo and Wayne listened to him. I can`t help thinking after seeing a documentary on the making of the movie that Richard Widmark - who adored Ford- would have preferred that this was a Ford directed film from start to finish. -

GregoryPeckfan replied to ClassicMovieRankings's topic in General Discussions
You know, considering the page is called TOP 100 MUSICALS and it has 250 or so, I am not sure what everyone is expecting. There are thousands of movies that are musicals. The page is not called the TOP 1000 musicals. -

Canadiana-Trivia About Canadians in Movies
GregoryPeckfan replied to GregoryPeckfan's topic in Games and Trivia
That's right, Lawrence. The movies were Grey Owl and the franchise Ginger Snaps. I met him when he was filming a pilot for a show called Clean Fight. My mother did the makeup for the tattoo on his back and I helped out by mopping up his sweat. He knew all our names. I ended up being an extra in the stands. The pilot was not picked up, but the episode still aired on APTN on a series that airs hour long programs that show Natives in positive portrayals. Your thread. -

This Canadian actor is First Nations (Native Canadian). He has appeared, among others, in a movie about a Native environmentalist who turned out not to be Native, and a couple of horror films in a short franchise that sounds like it could be about cookies. -

Okay, my final total is 212. Most of the ones I am missing are Al Jolson (don't like him except for The Jazz Singer) and recent musicals. Even so, I have seen recent musicals. -

Your Favourite Performances from 1929 to present are...
GregoryPeckfan replied to Bogie56's topic in Your Favorites
Well, since Lawrence has very helpfully listed his to-see films, I notice there were some I forgot to mention. And Bogie has added more nominations. Here are some more of my to-see list: MORE TO-SEE FILMS OF 1934: L'Atalante Catherine the Great Fog Over Frisco which is airing soon on TCM Four Frightened People Jew Suss Jimmy the Gent Little Man, What Now? Maria Chapdelaine Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch The Old Fashioned Way No Greater Glory Sing As We Go Six of a Kind -
Yes, but I am amazed at the zest at which people who love one band and hate the other really hate other when they are mentioned. I'm familiar with British Invasion music in general because that was my mother's era of music and I love it much more than my era. My era in high school was grunge music. Yuck.

Once again last night I went over my list of recorded movies, looked really closely at the never before seen movies on my to-see list............................................................ AND DECIDED TO WATCH THE GLENN FORD COMEDY DON'T GO NEAR THE WATER INSTEAD! Fun, fun, fun!

You know, some people are fans of The Beatles and similar bands, and some people are fans of The Rolling Stones and similar bands. I have always been a fan of The Beatles and similar bands (Monkees, Herman's Hermits etc.) I have a cd called George Martin IN MY LIFE. The renditions are quite unique.
