Two Peter Fonda/Bruce Dern movies back to back that were new to me - as they aired: THE WILD ANGELS (great film) and THE TRIP (a bit silly) These were both new to me and I did my best to pay attention and stay focused. Of course, my cat did NOT like this at all and meowed loudly throughout the double feature. I had closed of fall the windows and doors through most of the two films, but had to open them up for my cat and well, let us just say that he is not a fan ..... Anyway, I had seen Easy Rider before and loved the soundtrack, but never really liked the film. So - I have not been watching these movies in the "correct" order... I would totally watched The WILD Angels again. The Trip - was a one time only for me. edited FOR MIXING UP THE TITLES AGAIN.

I'm rather fond of If it's Tuesday, it must be Belgium. That is the right day of the week tight? I have not seen If It's Tuesday, This Must be Brigitte Bardot. I do love Ian McShane movies.

Agatha Christie is my favourite writer of all time and I have a letter she wrote my great Aunt that I received when my Great Aunt died because I'm a big fan. Next: Would you rather meet Dashiell Hammet or Arthur Donan Doyle

I am looking forward to Robert Montgomery day - even if the films are ones I've seen.

Thanks again, Barton for telling us the TCM Canada schedule for next month. I notice that Martin Sheen's The Subject Was Roses replaces MACBETH. I know this has more to do with the length of the films than anything else, but I know TSWR very well because I'm a Martin Sheen fan and I could not help but laugh when I saw that TSWR was the new film. People who have not seen TSWR won't get the joke, but people who know it will. Family relations.....

I've edited my earlier response, TB. I must have thought I was in a TCM Canada thread......

I see that the swimming star is featured. Have I mentioned how bored I am by watching women swimming?

Thanks for writing these out TOP BILLED. I was having an awful time trying to read the website from the links as it has been slow on the site today. I see that Robert Montgomery is featured on August 22nd. Hooray! I could watch Robert Montgomery films multiple times.

LOL! I just read my earlier post about the Robert Ryan movies I'm recording tomorrow and I noticed I had it down as LADY Madonna XXX. Someone is still in the Rock and Roll thread in her mind thinking about The Beatles.... -

Thanks for the Parr choice. I would rather meet Kim Stanley because of her connection to Kill a Mockingbird. Also, some of Julie's performances freak me out big time. Next: southern Writers: Would you rather meet Harper Lee or Mark Twain?

Okay. Have I told you about the time I was on a yahoogroups website and we were talking about the meaning of the words in Moon River? What is meant by "Huckleberry Friend" exactly? Me being silly wrote "well, I don't think it is a reference to Huckleberry Hound." To which I got a response: "You owe me one keyboard! I laughed so hard when I read your comment that I spilled coffee all over it and it is ruined!"
